The main goal of this study is to develop a noninvasive signature for pulmonary vascular remodeling in Group 3 PH patients, using hyperpolarized 129Xe magnetic resonance imaging (129Xe MRI). Such a signature may identify Group 3 PH responders to PAH-specific therapies. PAH's unique 129Xe MRI signature has been shown in previous studies. Past studies have lacked a pathologic "ground truth" correlate of these signatures, which could be provided by comparing them with the pathology of lung explant tissue from patients who have undergone a lung transplant. This signature could be validated in a cohort of patients with Group 3 PH in future studies. Read Less

Hemophilia A (HA) is a genetic bleeding disorder resulting from a deficiency or absence of factor VIII (FVIII), which is necessary in the clotting process. This disorder occurs mostly in males and in severe cases causes frequent bleeding episodes in joints and muscles which can lead to progressive damage that affects mobility and quality of life. Prophylactic FVIII administered intravenously every other day has been the standard of care treatment for HA for the past few decades. Sports and physical activity are generally encouraged in patients with hemophilia on appropriate prophylactic treatment to increase strength, prevent or decrease obesity, accrue and maintain bone density and encourage normal socialization. To ensure safety with participation in sports in persons with hemophilia A (PWHA), timing of FVIII administration is often adjusted to maximize FVIII at the time of sports. The exact factor level that is needed to safely participate in sports and minimize bleeding risk is not yet known. Based on clinical practice, infusion of FVIII to near the lower limit of normal right before participation in sports generally works to prevent bleeding. The study is looking at how well the newly approved medication Emicizumab works compared to Factor VIII to prevent bleeding in patients with Hemophilia A who play sports. The study will enroll children and adolescents who are already on Emicizumab or Factor VIII who are currently playing sports. Read Less

This phase Ib trial studies the effects of NKTR-255 in combination with chimeric antigen (CAR)-T cell therapy and to see how well they work in treating patients with large B-cell lymphoma that has come back (relapsed) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). NKTR-255 is an investigational IL-15 receptor agonist designed to boost the immune system's natural ability to fight cancer. T cells are infection fighting blood cells that can kill tumor cells. Lisocabtagene maraleucel is a CAR-T cell product that consists of genetically engineered T cells, modified to recognize CD19, a protein on the surface of cancer cells. These CD19-specific T cells may help the body's immune system identify and kill CD19-positive cancer cells. Giving NKTR-255 together with lisocabtagene maraleucel may work better in treating large B-cell lymphoma than either drug alone. Read Less

This study evaluates a sensor-controlled digital game (SCDG) to motivate self-management behaviors of physical activity in Native American adults with hypertension (HTN). Half of the participants will receive the SCDG app and physical activity sensors and the other half will receive only the physical activity sensors. Native American participants with hypertension (HTN) in the sensor controlled digital game intervention group will show increased PA behaviors; improved HTN knowledge, self-care behaviors, self-efficacy, motivation, and quality of life (QoL); and larger reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure and cardiac hospitalizations at baseline,3 months, and 6 months as compared to participants in the sensor-only control group. Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Programs (HVIPs) affiliated with trauma centers in the US often focus on individual behavior modification for reduction in re-victimization. There is a lack of reproducible evidence that has demonstrated effectiveness, given the exclusion of addressing inequities in the Social and Structural Determinants of Health (SSDOH), often the root causes of violent injury and preventable homicide. The study investigators created a Medical Legal Partnership (MLP) to partner with an existing HVIP. This novel program offers beside legal assistance to address the SSDOH. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the HVIP-MLP program in improving violence-related outcomes, legal needs, health-related quality of life, PTSD symptoms, and perceived stress. This study evaluates the postoperative outcomes of patients who are admitted to the Mayo Clinic Florida Care Hotel after mastectomy and tissue expander placement. At Mayo Clinic Florida, patients receiving low risk surgeries are often admitted to the hospital overnight for observation. A new model of delivering patient care was created at the Mayo Clinic Florida coined the "Care Hotel." This is a temporal, voluntary accommodation that offers patients a comfortable environment to receive nursing care before or after hospital treatment with in-person daytime monitoring and 24-hour virtual tele-monitoring in a hotel setting. This study evaluates post operative complications in patients who underwent mastectomy followed by tissue expander reconstruction and were admitted to the Care Hotel for overnight observation compared to the standard hospital admission and those who are discharged home.
