This Phase 1 study evaluates whether the administration of an S-nitrosylation (SNO) agent during autologous red blood cell transfusion can improve tissue oxygenation. The study investigates if replenishing S-nitrosylated hemoglobin (SNO-Hb) levels in stored blood enhances its oxygen delivery capacity. Compensation will be provided.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LGG) on proton pump inhibitor (PPI)-induced changes to the microbes that live in the gastrointestinal tract and are passed out in the stool. PPI medicines reduce stomach acid and are commonly used to treat acid reflux disease.

A Study of Neurodegeneration and Neuronal Fluctuations in Lewy Body Disease and Alzheimer's Disease
Recruiting
The purpose of this research study is to investigate how the brain, memory, thinking, and motor behavior change both in individuals with movement and/or cognitive disorders, as well as healthy individuals. Researchers will look at measurements of memory, thinking, brain wave and muscle activity, daily functioning, and brain scans to learn more about brain disorders such as Alzheimer disease and Lewy body disease.
