Obinutuzumab in Combination With GDP Chemotherapy in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
Completed
This is a pilot study to determine the overall survival rate and toxicities of obinutuzumab given with GDP chemotherapy for relapsed or refractory CD20+ aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Patients who have CD20+ and progressed R-CHOP therapy will be enrolled into the study. About 30 patients are planned to be enrolled from Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. If the enrollment is very slow then additional site may be included. Patients will receive Obinutuzumab +GDP for 3 cycles intravenously. CT sca... Read More

Postnatal Steroids Effects on Cardiac Function in Extremely Preterm
Recruiting
Hypothesis/Study question In infants born at less than 29 weeks of estimated gestational age, what are the effects of dexamethasone use on cardiac structure/performance and lung water content? Study objectives To measure effects before and after dexamethasone administration on cardiac structure/performance will be evaluated by using the M-mode technique (Devereux method (25-27) and lung water content will be specifically determined by the degree of water retention in premature lungs assessed... TINI 2: Total Therapy for Infants With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia II
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to improve upon the TINI study treatment. The study will test the ability of a type of immunotherapy called blinatumomab to clear persistent leukemia. Blinatumomab targets CD19 which is located on the leukemia cells outer membrane.

ALL Adult Consortium Trial: Adult ALL Trial
Completed
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of a multi-drug chemotherapy regimen in adult patients with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). We will use a regimen that is often used in pediatric patients and we will add drugs called PEG-asparaginase and E. coli asparaginase. PEG-asparaginase has been given as an injection in the past and has been used in treatment with both children and adults with ALL. Information from those other research studies suggests that intrave... Read More

Carfilzomib, Lenalidomide, and Dexamethasone Before and After Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma
Active Not Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone before and after stem cell transplant works in treating patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. Carfilzomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Biological therapies, such as lenalidomide, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as dexamethasone, work in different ways to sto... Read More

RCT of IV Dexamethasone to Prevent Relapse in the Treatment of Migraine in a Paediatric ED
Completed
Background: Headaches is one of the most common complaints of children in the ED and the treatment of pediatric migraine is largely based on extrapolation data from adult studies, limited pediatric trials, clinical experience and expert consensus. Despite the fact that dexamethasone has already been proven effective to reduce recurrence and is currently used in treating adults with migraine, no studies have looked at its use in the treatment of childhood migraine where relapse rate of about 50%... Pomalidomide in Combination With Low-dose Dexamethasone or Pomalidomide in Combination With Low-dose Dexamethasone and Daratumumab in Subjects With Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma Following Lenalidomide-based Therapy in the First or Second Line Setting
Completed
This trial will evaluate the efficacy and safety of combination of pomalidomide (POM) and low-dose dexamethasone (LD-Dex) (Cohort A) or the combination of pomalidomide (POM) , daratumumab (DARA) and low-dose dexamethasone (LD-Dex) (Cohort B) in subjects with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received a first or second line treatment of lenalidomide-based therapy. This trial will test the hypothesis for Cohort A that the proportion of patients will have an Overall Response Rate (O... Read More

Study of Single Agent Belantamab Mafodotin Versus Pomalidomide Plus Low-dose Dexamethasone (Pom/Dex) in Participants With Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma (RRMM)
Active Not Recruiting
This open-label, randomized study for evaluating the efficacy and safety of single agent belantamab mafodotin when compared to pom/dex in participants with RRMM. Participants will be randomized in a 2:1 ratio to receive either single agent belantamab mafodotin or pom/dex. Belantamab mafodotin will be administered on Day 1 (D1) at every 3 weeks (Q3W) schedule. Pomalidomide will be administered daily on Days 1 to 21 of each 28-day cycle, with dexamethasone administered once weekly (Days 1, 8, 15,... Read More
