Optimal Intensity of Reactive Balance Training for Healthy Older Adults
Recruiting
Falls in daily life are a serious risk for older adults. A new type of balance training, called reactive balance training (RBT) involves people losing balance many times so that they can practice fast balance reactions, like stepping reactions. Differences in training program features might explain differences in the results of previous RBT studies. Training intensity is the difficulty or challenge of the training program. It would be valuable to know if high-intensity RBT improves balance react... Read More

Resistance Intensive Personal Training for Youth with Cerebral Palsy
Recruiting
Changes related to Cerebral Palsy (CP) include differences in muscle architecture and cortical activity. These result in weakness, decreased functional ability and limited participation in physical activity. Strength training programs, particularly those including power training components, show great potential in improving the gross motor function of youth with CP. However, this intervention is not currently offered in the Calgary area. Delivered via an innovative partnership with community sta... Read More

Study of Lurbinectedin Monotherapy in Pediatric and Young Adult Participants With Relapsed/Refractory Ewing Sarcoma
Recruiting
This study is conducted in two phases. The phase 1 portion of the study evaluates the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D), and effectiveness of lurbinectedin monotherapy in pediatric participants with previously treated solid tumors. This is followed by the phase 2 portion, to further assess the effectiveness and safety in pediatric and young adult participants with recurrent/refractory Ewing sarcoma.

Longitudinal Prospective Natural History Study of Retinopathy in Zellweger Spectrum Disorder
Recruiting
The goal of this observational study is to define the course of the retinal degeneration in a ZSD patient cohort. The objective of this study is to gather information so the investigators can: 1. define the course of the retinal degeneration in a ZSD patient cohort with retinal degeneration 2. define what tests best monitor the progression of the retinal degeneration 3. generate prognostic information about vision loss in ZSD. At each yearly visit, the participants will answer a functional vi... Read More
