Interleaved TMS-fMRI in Ultra-treatment Resistant Depression
Recruiting
This is a study that will recruit patients from the neurosurgery clinic and the regular TMS clinic. It's a smaller study designed to collect brain imaging pre-treatment and then use image guided TMS to treat patient with a one week "accelerated" rTMS protocol using the research TMS machine that is housed in Dr. Sean Nestor's lab. The idea is to examine whether severe treatment resistant depression has a different brain signature than less severe/TRD and whether the investigators can get a therap... Read More

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip: Observation Vs. Bracing
Recruiting
Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is the most common childhood hip condition. When caught early, bracing is the most frequently used treatment; however, the brace can disrupt important mother-baby bonding time in the newborn period and present challenges to daily living. In babies with mild DDH, some studies have suggested that their hips may improve naturally as they grow and develop. This study will look at whether careful monitoring can be just as good as bracing for babies diagnosed w... Read More

An Evaluation of an Online Sexual Assault Resistance Program (IDEA3)
Recruiting
The goal of this randomized trial is to test whether the Internet-Delivered Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act (IDEA3) sexual assault resistance education intervention reduces sexual violence victimization in undergraduate women. Participants in the intervention group will be asked to attend four three-hour group sessions of a sexual assault resistance program called IDEA3 with a partner, as well as fill out a number of surveys. Participants in the control group will be asked to attend a one-hou... Read More

Studying Health Outcomes After Treatment in Patients With Retinoblastoma
Recruiting
This trial studies health outcomes after treatment in patients with retinoblastoma. Gathering health information over time from patients and family members through vision assessments, samples of tissue and saliva, and questionnaires may help doctors learn more about what causes retinoblastoma, identify long-term health outcomes for patients with retinoblastoma, and find out which therapies may be the best for treating retinoblastoma

Study in Parkinson Disease of Exercise
Recruiting
This study is a Phase 3 multi-site, randomized, evaluator-masked, study of endurance treadmill exercise on changes in the Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) Part III score at 12 months among persons with early stage Parkinson disease. 370 participants will be randomly assigned to 2 groups: 1)60-65% HRmax or 2)80-85% HRmax 4 times per week. The primary objective is to test whether the progression of the signs of Parkinson's disease is attenuated at 12 mon... Read More

Post-Extubation Assessment of Clinical Stability in ELBW Infants
Recruiting
This is an observational, proof-of-concept, feasibility study that aims to evaluate the feasibility of a monitoring system that integrates clinical data, high-resolution waveforms from the bedside monitor, regional oxygenation (via cerebral and splanchnic near-infrared spectroscopy), and regional ventilation (via electrical impedance tomography) from 20 extremely low birth weight infants at high-risk of reintubation.

Behavioural Activation Therapy and Esketamine for Resistant Depression
Recruiting
This is a randomized clinical trial to test the effectiveness of combining a proven psychological intervention called behavioural activation therapy alongside esketamine treatment for treatment resistant major depressive episodes in individuals with major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder. Encouraging participants to practice new behaviours while their mood is improved through esketamine treatment may lead to more lasting recovery from depression.
