We hypothesize that personalized risk disclosure via the PRE-Crohn's educational tool is both feasible and successful in modifying behaviors associated with Crohn's disease risk and normalizi... The purpose of this clinical study is the development of physiologic endpoint of inflammation in pediatric patients diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), specifically subtypes Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). The novel medical device evaluates the patient's sensory response to each of the three sensory nerve fiber types. Data from the device provides an assessment of disease activity and a more precise approach to treatment.

The objective of the current study is to compare non-healing colonic ulcers in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with iatrogenic colonic ulcers (biopsy sites) in healthy control patients and patients with rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis. Patients will be biopsied at baseline and again at a follow-up visit in a "biopsy of the biopsy" approach. These biopsies will be used to reveal patterns about gene expression and mitochondrial function during ulcer healing.
