The purpose of this research is to gather data on nutritional status from approximately 250 pregnant women who are currently taking a prenatal vitamin in order to better understand if the prenatal vitamins that most people use are providing enough nourishment during pregnancy.

Simplified IMmunosuppressive Protocol Utilizing Low Dose EnvarsusXR

The purpose of this study is to determine if the combination of once-daily tacrolimus extended-release (EnvarsusXR) and Azathioprine is non inferior with respect to the composite outcome of acute rejection, graft and patient survival as compared to a combination of twice-daily immediate release tacrolimus and mycophenolate mofetil/mycophenolic acid.

A Study of Zetomipzomib (KZR-616) in Patients With Autoimmune Hepatitis (PORTOLA)

This is a Phase 2a, multi-center, placebo-controlled study in which patients with autoimmune hepatitis will receive zetomipzomib or placebo in addition to standard-of-care for 24 weeks; an optional open-label extension period allows patients to receive zetomipzomib (KZR-616) for an additional 24 weeks of treatment.

The objective of the study is to develop a peer support program that helps improve ulcer care in patients with a diabetic foot ulcer (DFU).Diabetes, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), foot ulceration, and subsequent amputation are unevenly patterned in terms of racial/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, health insurance, and geographic area. The project will identify opportunities to reduce health disparities among economically marginalized patients regarding DFU outcomes.

Adolescent Acts of Kindness Intervention With Reflection

Adolescents will complete a 4-week intervention, during which they will either complete a kind act for others, complete a kind act for others with a reflection component, or report their daily activities three days per week. Psychological measures will be indexed before and after the intervention.

Scalp Cooling to Prevent Hair Loss in Patients Undergoing Stem Cell Transplantation for Multiple Myeloma

This pilot study of scalp cooling with Penguin cold caps will examine the effectiveness of scalp cooling to reduce the development of hair loss in 30 participants with multiple myeloma undergoing high-dose chemotherapy with melphalan and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The investigators will also assess the potential impact of hair loss versus the discomfort and inconvenience of the scalp cooling procedure.
