Tamibarotene is being studied as a treatment for participants with a type of leukemia called acute myeloid leukemia, or AML for short. Tamibarotene is being studied as a treatment for participants with AML whose cancer has a specific genetic abnormality characterized by the overexpression of the retinoic acid receptor alpha (RARA) gene. This genetic profile is found in about 3 of every 10 people with AML. During the trial, tamibarotene will be given with 2 other drugs that are already used together to treat people who have AML and who cannot start treatment with standard chemotherapy. Read Less

This phase III trial studies how well atezolizumab added to the usual radiation therapy works in treating patients with stage I-IIA non-small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Radiation therapy, such as stereotactic body radiation therapy, uses special equipment to position a patient and deliver radiation to tumors with high precision. This method can kill tumor cells with fewer doses over a shorter period and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving atezolizumab and radiation therapy may work better than radiation therapy alone in treating patients with early non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less

This phase III trial studies how well letrozole with or without paclitaxel and carboplatin works in treating patients with stage II-IV low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary, fallopian tube, or peritoneum. Letrozole is an enzyme inhibitor that lowers the amount of estrogen made by the body which in turn may stop the growth of tumor cells that need estrogen to grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether giving letrozole alone or in combination with paclitaxel and carboplatin works better in treating patients with low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary, fallopian tube, or peritoneum compared to paclitaxel and carboplatin without letrozole. This phase III trial compares the usual chemotherapy treatment to eribulin plus gemcitabine in treating patients with urothelial cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Chemotherapy drugs, such as eribulin, gemcitabine, docetaxel, paclitaxel, and sacituzumab govitecan work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Among critically ill adults undergoing emergency tracheal intubation, one in five experience hypotension, cardiac arrest, or death. The sedatives used to rapidly induce anesthesia for emergency tracheal intubation have been hypothesized to effect cardiovascular complications and patient outcomes, but the optimal sedative medication for intubation of critically ill adults remains unknown. Ketamine and etomidate are the two most commonly used sedatives during intubation of critically ill adults. Data from a randomized clinical trial are urgently needed to determine the effect of ketamine versus etomidate on cardiovascular complications and clinical outcomes of emergency tracheal intubation. Approximately 240 eligible adult participants (≥18 years old) who meet Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR) criteria for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) will be enrolled. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive a single oral dose of Psilocybin 25 mg, Psilocybin 5 mg, or inactive placebo. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of Psilocybin 25 mg versus placebo in adults with MDD, as assessed by the difference between groups in change in depressive symptoms from Baseline to Day 43 post-dose, and to characterize the durability of initial treatment effect and subsequent response to optional Psilocybin 25 mg re-administration(s) during the 1-year Follow-up Period. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, pemetrexed, carboplatin, gemcitabine hydrochloride, and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This phase III trial compares early treatment with venetoclax and obinutuzumab versus delayed treatment with venetoclax and obinutuzumab in patients with newly diagnosed high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Venetoclax is in a class of medications called B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking Bcl-2, a protein needed for cancer cell survival. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as obinutuzumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Starting treatment with the venetoclax and obinutuzumab early (before patients have symptoms) may have better outcomes for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma compared to starting treatment with the venetoclax and obinutuzumab after patients show symptoms. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease causing pain, stiffness, swelling and loss of joint function. This study will assess how safe and effective upadacitinib is in treating RA when compared to adalimumab in adult participants with inadequate response or intolerance to one TNF-inhibitor who are on a stable dose of methotrexate (MTX). Adverse events and change in disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for the treatment of RA. This study is double-blinded means that neither the participants nor the study doctors will know who will be given upadacitinib and who will be given adalimumab. Study doctors put the participants in 1 of the 2 groups, called treatment arms randomly, to receive either upadacitinib or adalimumab. There is 1 in 2 chance that participants will receive adalimumab. Each group consists of 2 periods. Approximately 480 participants diagnosed with RA will be enrolled in approximately 250 sites across the world. Participants will receive the oral upadacitinib once daily and matching adalimumab placebo every other week, or the subcutaneous adalimumab every other week and matching upadacitinib placebo once daily during Period 1. Eligible participants will continue to receive same study treatment in Period 2 as assigned in Period 1 and will be followed for 30 days and 70 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic.
