Breast Cancer Paid Clinical Trials in Florida

This phase II trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside (GM1) and whether it works in reducing or preventing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in patients with breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) who are receiving treatment with paclitaxel. Chemotherapy drugs, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Exposure to chemotherapy drugs like paclitaxel may cause a side effect called CIPN, which is a condition of weakness, numbness, and pain from nerve damage (usually in the hands and feet). GM1 is a part of the body's natural system that insulates nerves and helps to protect nerves from damage. Giving GM1 may help reduce or prevent CIPN in breast cancer patients receiving treatment with paclitaxel. Read Less

This study is being done to see if anti-HER2 treatment be safely stopped in patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer (MBC) that have had exceptional response to treatment. This is a Phase 1b/2, open-label, parallel-arms pilot study in post-menopausal women with hormone receptor positive (HR+), HER2- advanced or metastatic breast cancer with an alteration in the PI3K pathway, including a mutation of the PIK3CA gene, PTEN loss, or AKT1 mutation, designed to determine the safety of evexomostat (SDX-7320) plus standard of care treatment alpelisib (BYL-719) or capivasertib and fulvestrant (each combined, the 'triplet therapy'), to measure the severity and number of hyperglycemic events, and to assess clinical, anti-tumor benefit of the triplet therapy. The purpose of this study is: to characterize the safety of the triplet drug combination consisting of either alpelisib or capivasertib (per the treating oncologist's choice) and fulvestrant plus evexomostat, to test whether evexomostat, when given in combination with either alpelisib or capivasertib and fulvestrant will reduce the number and severity of hyperglycemic events and/or reduce the number or dose of anti-diabetic medications needed to control the hyperglycemia for metabolically normal patients and those deemed at risk for capivasertib and alpelisib-induced hyperglycemia (insulin resistance, as measured by HOMA-IR, baseline elevated HbA1c or well-controlled type 2 diabetes), and to assess preliminary anti-tumor efficacy for each combination and changes in key biomarkers and quality of life in this patient population. Study STX-478-101 is a multipart, open-label, phase 1/2 study evaluating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and preliminary antitumor activity of STX-478 in participants with advanced solid tumors with certain mutations. Part 1 will evaluate STX-478 as monotherapy in participants with advanced solid tumors and breast cancer; Part 2 will evaluate STX-478 therapy as combination therapy with fulvestrant in participants with breast cancer. This study is about TAK-500, given either alone or with pembrolizumab, in adults with select locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors. The aims of the study are: to assess the safety profile of TAK-500 when given alone and when given with pembrolizumab. to assess the anti-tumor effects of TAK-500, when given alone and when given with pembrolizumab, in adults with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors. Participants may receive TAK-500 for up to 1 year. Participants may continue with their treatment if they have continuing benefit and if this is approved by their study doctor.
