Monitoring Symptoms to Help Young Women Take Hormone Therapy for Stage I-III Breast Cancer, ASPEN Study
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effect of active symptom monitoring and patient education to patient education alone in helping young women with stage I-III breast cancer stay on their hormone therapy medicines. The patient education tool contains interactive weblinks which provide patients with education material about breast cancer and side effects of therapy. Symptom monitoring is a weblink via email or text message with questions asking about symptoms. Hormone therapy for breast cancer can... Read More

GammaPod Dose Escalation Radiation for Early Stage Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The GammaPod machine was made by Xcision Medical Systems and is already FDA cleared to deliver focused radiation within the breast. Unlike current radiation machines, the GammaPod was designed specifically for treating breast cancer. The GammaPod can pinpoint radiation to the tumor bed in the breast which lowers the amount of radiation to nearby tissues. The machine uses a breast cup system to hold the breast in place for the treatment. This breast cup system was tested at MSGCCC (Marlene Stewar... Read More

Evaluating the Use of Patient Navigation to Promote Timely Diagnostic Evaluation During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Recruiting
The primary objective of this project is to evaluate the role of patient navigation in promoting timely follow-up of abnormal breast imaging findings in patient populations that have been most severely impacted by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This project aims to assess the impact of patient navigation as an intervention tool in patient populations that are most at risk for delayed follow-up. The investigators hypothesize that patient navigation services may be an effective way to... Read More

Ribociclib vs. Palbociclib in Patients With Advanced Breast Cancer Within the HER2-Enriched Intrinsic Subtype
Recruiting
HARMONIA is an international, multicenter, randomized, open-label and phase III study. The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate that the combination of ribociclib with endocrine therapy (letrozole or fulvestrant) is superior to palbociclib with endocrine therapy (letrozole or fulvestrant) in prolonging progression-free survival in patients with advanced HR+/HER2- and HER2-E breast cancer. The study will enroll approximately 456 patients with HER2-E disease from approximately 95 site... Read More

CD40 Agonist, Flt3 Ligand, and Chemotherapy in Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Recruiting
This research study is being done to find out if the immunotherapy drugs called CDX-301 and CDX-1140 in combination with the standard chemotherapy treatment pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD, Doxil) are safe and effective at controlling the cancer in patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer, and to determine a safe dose and treatment schedule of the three drugs. This research study will also test how these treatments improve your body's immune response against the cancer.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer Undergoing Breast-Conserving Surgery
Recruiting
This phase IV trial studies the side effects of intraoperative radiation therapy and how well it works in treating patients with breast cancer undergoing breast-conserving surgery. Delivering radiation one time to the area where the tumor was removed while the patient is still in the operating room may kill any residual tumor cells and may be as effective as standard radiation therapy in patients with early stage breast cancer.

Recruiting
This study is one single group of participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have not been cured by other treatments. It is the first time the drug has been used in humans. There will be two parts and a sub-study. The primary purpose of the parts are: Dose Escalation: To investigate the safety and tolerability and to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and the recommended dose for expansion (RDE) of DS-1062a Dose Expansion: To investigate the safety and tolerability of DS-... SMART-ER: Symptom Monitoring With Patient-reported Outcomes
Recruiting
The key hypothesis for this study is that collection of the PRO surveys via the Outcomes4Me app is feasible, as measured by survey completion rates. In addition to informing feasibility, this study will provide information about symptom trajectories, symptom management interventions, and early endocrine therapy adherence and persistence. Patients with risk factors for adjuvant endocrine therapy non-adherence or early discontinuation will complete patient-reported outcome (PRO) surveys via smart... Read More
