Testing the Addition of Ipatasertib to Usual Chemotherapy and Radiation for Head and Neck Cancer
Recruiting
This phase I/Ib trial tests the safety and best dose of ipatasertib in combination with the usual treatment approach using chemotherapy together with radiation therapy ("chemo-radiation") in patients with head and neck cancer. Ipatasertib is in a class of medications called protein kinase B (AKT) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of tumor cells and may kill them. Cisplatin which is a chemotherapy used in this trial is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works by... Read More

Regional Radiotherapy in Biomarker Low-Risk Node Positive and T3N0 Breast Cancer
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to compare the effects on low risk breast cancer receiving usual care that includes regional radiation therapy, with receiving no regional radiation therapy. Researchers want to see if not giving this type of radiation treatment works as well at preventing breast cancer from coming back.

Evaluation of RBS2418 in Subjects With Advanced, Metastatic Solid Tumors
Recruiting
RBS2418 (investigational product) is a specific immune modulator, working through ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase I (ENPP1), designed to lead to anti-tumor immunity by increasing endogenous 2'-3'-cyclic guanosine monophosphate-adenosine monophosphate (cGAMP) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP levels) and reducing adenosine production in the tumors. RBS2418 has the potential to be an important therapeutic option for subjects both as monotherapy and in combination with checkpoint blo... Read More

Testing Cabozantinib With or Without Atezolizumab in Patients With Advanced Papillary Kidney Cancer, PAPMET2 Trial
Recruiting
This phase II trial compares the effect of atezolizumab in combination with usual treatment with cabozantinib to cabozantinib alone in patients with papillary renal cell carcinoma that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC) is a type of kidney cancer that forms in the lining of the tiny tubes in the kidney that return filtered substances that the body needs back to the blood and remove extra fluid and waste as urine. Most papillary tumors look... Read More

Testing the Use of Investigational Drugs Atezolizumab and/or Bevacizumab With or Without Standard Chemotherapy in the Second-Line Treatment of Advanced-Stage Head and Neck Cancers
Recruiting
This phase II/III compares the standard therapy (chemotherapy plus cetuximab) versus adding bevacizumab to standard chemotherapy, versus combination of just bevacizumab and atezolizumab in treating patients with head and neck cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic or advanced stage) or has come back after prior treatment (recurrent). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with... Read More

Study of Voicing My CHOiCES as a Tool for Advanced Care Planning in Young Adults With Cancer
Recruiting
Background:
- There are very few documents to help young adults living with advanced cancer discuss their concerns and end-of-life preferences. A new document, Voicing My CHOiCES, allows young adults to explain what kind of care they would want if they became unable to communicate or make medical decisions on their own. Researchers want to study if this document is helpful.
Objective:
- To study if Voicing My CHOiCES can reduce anxiety, improve sense of support, and improve communication abou... Read More

Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to compare overall survival (OS) and progression free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR).
Hypothesis (H1): Concurrent chemoradiation therapy with pembrolizumab followed by pembrolizumab plus olaparib is superior to concurrent chemoradiation therapy alone with respect to PFS per RECIST 1.1 by BICR.
Hypothesis (H2): Concurrent chemoradiation therapy with pem... Read More
