This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy with or without cisplatin works in treating patients with stage III-IVA squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck who have undergone surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known if radiation therapy is more effective with or without cisplatin in treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Read Less

This is a multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of ABX464 50mg and 25mg administered once daily (QD) as maintenance therapy in subjects with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis who have inadequate response, no response, a loss of response, or an intolerance to either conventional therapies \[corticosteroids, immunosuppressant (i.e. azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, methotrexate)\] and/or advanced therapies \[biologics (TNF inhibitors, anti-integrins, anti-IL-23), and/or S1P receptor modulators, and/or JAK inhibitors\]. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if MELT-300 works on procedural sedation in adult participants undergoing cataract extraction with lens replacement (CELR). It will also learn about the safety of MELT-300. Researchers will compare MELT-300 to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if MELT-300 works on procedural sedation in adult participants undergoing CELR. Researchers will also include a comparator SL midazolam to confirm the benefit of inclusion of ketamine in the combined drug product. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does MELT-300 is effective in comparison to placebo on procedural sedation for cataract surgery? 2. To determine the effectiveness of MELT-300 compared with midazolam on procedural sedation (to determine the contribution of ketamine component and inform the risk of ketamine in MELT-300) 3. To determine the time to achieve preoperative target sedation level with MELT-300 4. What medical problems do participants have when taking MELT-300 vs placebo Eligible participants will admitted to the study unit on Day 1. Participants will be randomized prior to surgery 4:1:1 to 1. MELT-300 (i.e. 1 MELT-300 sublingual tablet which contains 3 mg midazolam and 50 mg of ketamine) 2. Midazolam (i.e. 1 matching midazolam sublingual tablet which contains 3 mg midazolam) 3. Placebo (i.e. 1 matching placebo sublingual tablet) Participants will receive study medication 30 (± 5) minutes, without food or water, before planned surgery start (defined as instillation of topical ocular anesthetic gel \[i.e.. 3 drops of chloroprocaine hydrochloride ophthalmic gel)\]. The effectiveness of MELT-300 will be performed after study medication is administered before surgery, in the course of surgery, and postoperative on Day 1 (end of surgery defined as just prior to drape removal). This phase II trial studies the effect of sacituzumab govitecan in treating patients with HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Sacituzumab govitecan is a monoclonal antibody, called sacituzumab, linked to a chemotherapy drug, called govitecan. Sacituzumab is a form of targeted therapy because it attaches to specific molecules on the surface of cancer cells, known as Trop-2 receptors, and delivers govitecan to kill them. Giving sacituzumab govitecan may shrink the cancer in the brain and/or extend the time until the cancer gets worse. Read Less

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the dose effect of Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Injection on the treatment of clinically relevant decreased blood pressure in the pediatric population, ≥12 to 16 year old patients undergoing general and neuraxial anesthesia. This randomized control trial aims to investigate whether writing about personal values helps enhance motivation to engage in physical activity, relative to general self-reflective writing. This study will help to (1) assess whether values clarification leads to increased motivation to engage in physical activity, greater stability in motivation, and improvements in engagement in physical activity and valued action, relative to engaging in self-reflection, (2) determine if the impact of values clarification on these outcomes vary depending on context (e.g., positive/negative affect, psychological inflexibility, stressful events), (3) explore whether values clarification procedures that employ distinct relational frames (hierarchical, conditional, distinction, and deictic) differentially impact motivation to engage in physical activity, and daily engagement in physical activity, and (4) explore whether the impact of values clarification vary depending on baseline self-compassion and/or intrinsic/extrinsic motivation. This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and an ALK fusion mutation. Read Less

People with spinal cord injuries may experience muscle tightness or uncontrollable spasms. This study is being conducted to investigate whether transcutaneous spinal stimulation can improve these symptoms. Transcutaneous spinal stimulation is a non-surgical intervention by applying electrical currents using skin electrodes over the lower back and belly. The investigators want to see how well the intervention of transcutaneous spinal stimulation performs by testing different levels of stimulation pulse rates. Also, transcutaneous spinal stimulation is compared to muscle relaxants such as baclofen and tizanidine, commonly given to people with spinal cord injuries, to reduce muscle stiffness and spasms. By doing this, the investigators hope to discover if transcutaneous spinal stimulation similarly reduces muscle spasms and stiffness or if combining both methods works best. This could help improve treatment options for people with spinal cord injuries in the future. Read Less
