This study compares semaglutide, together with a lower dose of insulin glargine, to a higher dose of insulin glargine in participants with type 2 diabetes. The study looks at how well the study medicines control blood glucose levels. Participants will either get semaglutide together with a lower dose of insulin glargine or a higher dose of insulin glargine. The study will last for about 47 weeks (approximately 11 months). Participants will have 9 clinic visits, 15 phone/video calls and 1 home visit. Participants will be asked to wear a sensor that measures their blood sugar all the time in 2 periods of 10 days during the study. Read Less

The Revita® system is being investigated to assess the efficacy of DMR versus Sham on improvement in Glycemic, Hepatic and Cardiovascular endpoints for patients with Type 2 Diabetes who are inadequately controlled with insulin therapy. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of the Fractyl DMR Procedure using the Revita® System compared to a sham. Subjects randomized to the DMR procedure will be followed per protocol till 48 weeks post treatment. The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the Spotlight AQ survey platform to the standard of care (SOC) pre-clinic assessment in adolescents & young adults (16-25 years old) with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). The main questions it aims to answer are: Does using the Spotlight AQ survey in clinic decrease the A1c in the people who use it? Do patients and healthcare providers like using the spotlight AQ survey? Participants will use the Spotlight AQ survey before coming in to two standard of care T1D clinic visits Participants will fill out surveys describing how they feel about using the Spotlight AQ survey. This study compares insulin icodec, a new insulin taken once a week, to insulin glargine, an insulin taken once a day. The study medicine will be investigated in participants with type 2 diabetes. Participants will either get insulin icodec or insulin glargine. Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. Insulin icodec is the new medicine being tested, while insulin glargine is already approved and can be prescribed by doctors. Participants will get one injection of insulin icodec once a week, or one injection of insulin glargine once a day, depending on the treatment group participants are assigned into. Participants will use a pen with a small needle to inject the medicine under participants skin into participants thigh, upper arm or stomach.The study will last for about 9 months, but participants will only be taking the study medicine for 6 months. The study will look at how well CagriSema helps people lower their blood sugar and body weight. CagriSema is a new weekly medicine that combines two medicines called semaglutide and cagrilintide. CagriSema will be compared to the two medicines semaglutide and cagrilintide, when they are taken alone. CagriSema will also be compared to a "dummy" medicine without any active ingredient. The study will be done in participants who have type 2 diabetes. Participants will take the study medicine together with the current diabetes medicine (metformin with or without an SGLT2 inhibitor). This is a multi-center, prospective, non-interventional study that focuses on the long- term effects following participation in selected ITN new-onset Type1 Diabetes Mellitus studies with immunomodulatory agents (T1DM, T1D). This observational study will: follow participants to determine how long they continue to produce insulin, and will also assess how changes in the immune system over time relate to the ability to produce insulin. Doctors may not yet prescribe CagriSema. CagriSema will be compared to a medicine called tirzepatide that doctors may prescribe in some countries. Participants will get either CagriSema or tirzepatide. Which treatment participant get is decided by chance like flipping a coin. Participant will have an equal chance of receiving either drug. The purpose of this research study is to determine if rifampin, an antibiotic (a medicine that treats infections), is effective in treating osteomyelitis (infection of the bone) of the foot in diabetic patients. Despite use of powerful antibiotics prescribed over a long period of time, many diabetic patients remain at a high risk for needing an amputation of part of the foot or lower leg because the osteomyelitis is not cured. Some small research studies have shown that addition of rifampin to other antibiotics is effective in treating osteomyelitis in both diabetics and non-diabetics. However, because few diabetics with osteomyelitis have been studied, there is no definite proof that it is better than the usual treatments for diabetic patients. If this study finds that adding rifampin to the usual antibiotics prescribed for osteomyelitis reduces the risk for amputations, doctors will be able to more effectively treat many Veteran patients with this serious infection. Improving treatment outcomes is an important healthcare goal of the VA. Read Less
