This phase II trial tests how well zanubrutinib and lisocabtagene maraleucel (liso-cel) work together in treating patients with Richter's syndrome. Richter's syndrome occurs when chronic lymphocytic leukemia and/or small lymphocytic leukemia transforms into an aggressive lymphoma, which is a cancer of the lymph nodes. Zanubrutinib is a class of medication called a kinase inhibitor. These drugs work by preventing the action of abnormal proteins that tell cancer cells to multiply, which helps stop the spread of cancer. Liso-cel is a type of treatment known as chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy. CAR T-cell therapy is a type of treatment in which a patient's T cells (a type of immune system cell) are changed in the laboratory so they will attack cancer cells. T cells are taken from a patient's blood. Then the gene for a special receptor that binds to a certain protein on the patient's cancer cells is added to the T cells in the laboratory. The special receptor is called a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). Large numbers of the CAR T cells are grown in the laboratory and given to the patient by infusion for treatment of certain cancers. Giving zanubrutinib and liso-cell together may kill more cancer cells in patients with Richter's syndrome. Read Less

This pilot study will be a single center, randomized controlled study of 24 participants with diagnosed BM (various primary disease sites) comparing the effect of a ketogenic (n=12) and AICR (n=12) diet. Potential participants will be identified via medical record reviews and chart reviews. Eligibility of patients will be assessed via medical record review. Randomization will be balanced by blocks of random sizes but no stratification due to the small sample size. Both groups will undergo a 16-week diet intervention where research dietitians will provide educations, recipes and grocery lists on the participants assigned diet. Each group will receive 4-7 days worth of food prior to testing days to both aid in transitioning to each dietary arm and to ensure that the metabolic needs for each arm are met. In an effort to maintain a patient centric focus and monitor changes in quality of life (QOL) all patients will complete psychosocial and behavioral inventories. These inventories aim to capture a holistic view on the proposed nutritional intervention during treatment. Primary outcomes will be determined at baseline, 8 weeks, and 16 weeks while patient-centric outcomes will be assessed every four weeks. Participants will have counseling by the attending physician for additional applicable medications for any treatment related side effects or toxicities. This phase II trial tests how well pirtobrutinib (LOXO-305) and venetoclax works in treating patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) that remains despite treatment (resistant) with covalent bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors (BTKi). Pirtobrutinib is in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the a protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. Venetoclax is in a class of medications called B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL-2) inhibitors. It may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking BCL-2, a protein needed for cancer cell survival. Giving pirtobrutinib and venetoclax may kill more cancer cells in patients with CLL or SLL that is resistant to covalent BTKi. Read Less

A prospective, observational, multicenter study where 62 patients needing implants in the maxilla or mandible will be enrolled. The patients will be restored with a final prosthesis no later than 4 months following implant placement surgery. The patients will come back for follow-up evaluations yearly for 2 years. Read Less

This phase I trial studies the side effects and how well papaverine hydrochloride and stereotactic radiation therapy body (SBRT) work in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Papaverine hydrochloride may help radiation therapy work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the radiation therapy. Stereotactic body radiation therapy uses special equipment to position a patient and deliver radiation to tumors with high precision. This method can kill tumor cells with fewer doses over a shorter period and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving papaverine hydrochloride with SBRT may work in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Read Less

This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects and best infusion dose of genetically engineered cells called anti-CD19/CD20/CD22 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells following a short course of chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide and fludarabine in treating patients with lymphoid cancers (malignancies) that have come back (recurrent) or do not respond to treatment (refractory). Lymphoid malignancies eligible for this trial are: non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and B-prolymphocytic leukemia (B-PLL). T-cells (a type of white blood cell) form part of the body's immune system. CAR-T is a type of cell therapy that is used with gene-based therapies. CAR T-cells are made by taking a patient's own T-cells and genetically modifying them with a virus so that they are recognized by a group of proteins called CD19/CD20/CD22 which are found on the surface of cancer cells. Anti-CD19/CD20/CD22 CAR T-cells can recognize CD19/CD20/CD22, bind to the cancer cells and kill them. Giving combination chemotherapy helps prepare the body before CAR T-cell therapy. Giving CAR-T after cyclophosphamide and fludarabine may kill more tumor cells. Read Less

This phase I trial studies how well a ketogenic dietary intervention works to improve response to immunotherapy in patients with melanoma and kidney cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). A ketogenic diet (KD) means eating fewer carbohydrates and more fats. The purpose is to use ketones (normal breakdown from fat) instead of glucose (sugar) as an energy source. Researchers want to see whether a ketogenic diet can improve tumor response in patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). ICI are newer treatment options that help the immune system better fight some cancers. Following a KD may improve tumor response in patients with metastatic melanoma and metastatic kidney cancer treated with ICI. Read Less

The goal of this observational study is to discover features of normal and disordered motor-voice profiles that are biobehavioral markers of physical disability in infants.. The main questions it aims to answer are: Identify voice factors among infants with newborn-detectable risk. Identify association between individual characteristics (Gestational age at birth, global function, motor-function) and voice factors. Examine unique features of voice production that are present in infants with high-risk for Cerebral Palsy (CP). Participants will be asked to upload a 3-minute videos of their child at term-age, 3.5-, and 9-months of age. The investigators are researching patients with diseases of their plasma cells in order to improve their quality and length of life. The investigators have created a database of patient information, blood samples, and bone marrow tissue in order to achieve the following three goals: * Surveillance: The investigators want to track what treatments patients get or don't get, how effective they are, how they feel, what complications they suffer, how long they stay in remission, and how long they live. * Contact: Because myeloma and amyloidosis are rare, less than 700 patients are diagnosed in the state of Ohio each year, patients often feel they don't have accurate information. The investigators want to provide them access to our clinical team (both phone and email consultations, even office visits for patients that can come to Columbus) as well as information regarding informational events pertaining to your disease and local support groups. * Research: Because nearly all myeloma and amyloid patients relapse and treatment is eventually unsuccessful, our focus is to develop more effective treatments that not only prolong life, but cure the disease. Periodically the investigators will inform them about clinical trials studying new drugs or treatment paradigms. Read Less

This clinical trial tests the impact of the The Ohio State University Connecting Underrepresented Populations to Clinical Trials (CUSP2CT) project on clinical trial referrals and enrollment in racial/ethnic minorities. Progress in cancer prevention, detection and treatment can only be made by identifying and validating new and improved methods, compounds and modalities in clinical trials. Unfortunately, participation in clinical trials is not equal across all racial and ethnic groups, limiting progress against cancer in all population groups and further widening the disparity gap. To change this picture, concerted effort needs to be directed both at the communities at risk for being left out of trials and the systems that cause the disparities at all levels involved in accrual to clinical trials. The CUSP2CT project may have the potential to increase referral and accrual of racial/ethnic minorities to prevention/control and treatment trials. Read Less
