This is a 2-part, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, Phase 2 study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, efficacy, and PK of RTA 901 in qualified subjects with DPNP. Each study part will be randomized into 3 treatment arms; 2 different doses of RTA 901 and a Placebo. The doses of RTA 901 in Part 2 will be selected based on the Exposure-Response (E-R) analyses of data from Part 1. A total of 384 subjects will be randomized in this study. Each part will have 192 subjects, with 64 subjects randomized 1:1:1 to each treatment arm. The duration of each part of the study will be approximately 20 weeks, including a Screening Period of up to 2 weeks, a Run-in Period of 2 weeks, a Treatment Period of 12 weeks, and a Follow-up Period of 4 weeks. All subjects in Part 1 and Part 2 of the study will follow the same visit and assessment schedule. Eligibility will be assessed during the Screening and Run-in Periods. Read Less

The goal of this observational trial is to compare the health history and motion capabilities of participants with low back pain disorders to participants with healthy spines. The main question[s] it aims to answer are to: Primary outcomes of this research effort include the development of composite measures or digital biomarkers to track functional recovery over time and predict duty or work status outcomes (return-to-full duty/work, limited duty/work restrictions or medical discharge/long-term disability). Secondary outcomes of this research effort include characterization of motion assessment utility to predict reinjury risk and evaluate intervention effectiveness. In addition, exploratively, the investigators will determine biopsychosocial profiles of low back pain, and neck pain military populations to identify low back and neck pain phenotypes. Participants will complete questionnaires and wear a motion monitor that will assess the participant's back and/or neck. This session will be approximately 40-70 minutes. The research team will follow up with participants at 3 month, 6 months, and 1 year to complete a short series of questionnaires and a motion assessment test. Read Less

The purpose of this post-market study is to evaluate the real-world experience of Nevro's Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) therapy in patients with chronic, intractable leg pain due to painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN). This is a multicenter, prospective, observational global study, that will partner diabetes management teams with pain physicians to provide an interdisciplinary treatment regimen for PDN patients. The investigators propose to conduct a dose-escalation trial of an FDA-approved antiepileptic drug, lacosamide, added to opioid therapy in patients with chronic abdominal pain from chronic pancreatitis (CP). This pilot trial will test the feasibility of the study design and provide reassurance regarding the tolerability and safety of lacosamide used concomitantly with opioids in this patient population to reduce the condition known clinically as opioid-induced hyperalgesia (OIH).
