This is an interventional, randomized, parallel group, treatment, Phase 3b/4, double blind, 2-arm study to assess the effect of dupilumab compared to standard of care therapy on preventing or slowing the rate of lung function decline in adult patients with uncontrolled moderate to severe asthma. The estimated duration is 4±1 weeks of screening and run-in period, followed by a 3-year double blinded treatment period. There will be a post-treatment follow-up (FU) period up to 12 weeks. The primary objective of the trial is to evaluate the efficacy of fluticasone propionate/albuterol sulfate multidose dry powder inhaler with electronic module (Fp/ABS eMDPI). This is a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, phase 3 multicenter study in subjects recently hospitalized for ACS and with the appropriate genetic profile. Subjects will provide informed consent before any study-specific procedures are performed. A separate informed consent will be allowed for an initial pre-screening genetic testing. Subjects meeting the AA genotype will then consent to the full study and confirmatory genetic testing as required. Subject enrollment may begin in the hospital and will continue following release from the hospital or may begin following release from hospital. Screening procedures may be performed at the time of the index ACS event or anytime thereafter, with the condition that randomization must occur within the mandated window (up to12 weeks after the index event). Tranexamic Acid (TXA) is an antifibrolytic medication used in total hip and knee arthroplasty to reduce the need for intraoperative and postoperative blood transfusions. Limited research is available on its use in hip fracture patients. We hypothesize that the use of TXA preoperatively, perioperatively, and postoperatively will decrease blood loss and need for blood transfusion postoperatively. Read Less

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people aged 12-17 years in the United States, yet many youth at risk for suicide are not identified or go untreated. Stepped care approaches have been shown to be effective at reducing suicide risk in clinical settings, including primary care. The goal of this hybrid I stepped wedge effectiveness-implementation study is to test the effectiveness of a population-based quality improvement (QI) intervention, entitled STARRS-PC (Stepped Approach to Reducing Risk of Suicide in Primary Care) compared to treatment as usual (TAU), in reducing the risk of suicidal behavior among youth in the pediatric primary care setting. STARRS-PC implements a clinical pathway for youth at elevated risk for suicide in pediatric primary care clinics. Clinical pathways are tools used by health professionals to guide evidence-informed practice. The STARRS-PC pathway consists of three evidence-based suicide clinical care processes: risk detection, assessment and triage, and, if needed, follow-up transitional care. STARRS-PC is guided by the Practical, Robust Implementation, and Sustainability Model (PRISM), which allows for the study of factors that influence effective implementation of the suicide prevention clinical pathway and is focused on scalability. The main questions the study aims to answer are: * Will STARRS-PC be more effective than TAU at reducing the rate of suicide attempt at 12 months post-baseline (primary outcome)? * Will STARRS-PC be more effective than TAU at reducing suicidal ideation and non-suicidal self-injury, and improving family satisfaction at 12 months post-baseline (secondary outcomes)? * What are the barriers and facilitators of effective implementation and sustainability of STARRS-PC? This phase II trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of monosialotetrahexosylganglioside (GM1) and whether it works in reducing or preventing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) in patients with breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic) who are receiving treatment with paclitaxel. Chemotherapy drugs, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Exposure to chemotherapy drugs like paclitaxel may cause a side effect called CIPN, which is a condition of weakness, numbness, and pain from nerve damage (usually in the hands and feet). GM1 is a part of the body's natural system that insulates nerves and helps to protect nerves from damage. Giving GM1 may help reduce or prevent CIPN in breast cancer patients receiving treatment with paclitaxel. Read Less

TARA-002-101-Ph2 is an open-label study to investigate the safety and anti-tumor activity of intravesical instillation of TARA-002 in adults 18 years of age or older with high-grade CIS NMIBC (± Ta/T1). The purpose of this Phase 2 study (TARA-002-101-Ph2) is to further assess the safety and anti-tumor activity of TARA-002 at the RP2D which has been established in the Phase 1a dose finding study (TARA-002-101-Ph1a). This Phase 2 study includes participants with CIS NMIBC (± Ta/T1) with active disease (defined as disease present at last tumor evaluation prior to signing ICF). Participants will be enrolled into one of 2 cohorts: Cohort A: * Participants with CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG naive, or * Participants with CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG exposed and have not received intravesical BCG for at least 24 months prior to the most recent CIS diagnosis Cohort B: * Participants with persistent or recurrent CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG unresponsive within 12 months of completion of adequate BCG therapy (minimum 5/6 doses induction and 2/3 doses maintenance or 2/6 doses reinduction) Read Less
