The purpose of this study is to identify markers in the blood and tissue that could indicate risk factors for the development and progression of esophagus cancer. This research aims to collect medical history, blood, and tissue samples from patients who present with an esophageal disorder. Identifying genetic and behavioral risk factors involved in the development of esophageal cancer might allow for early detection and prevention. Survival and an opportunity for a cure with esophageal cancer will depend greatly on the stage of diagnosis. Tumors can develop changes in their genetic (hereditary) make-up, and these changes can sometimes be seen in normal tissues before the development of cancer. These genetic (hereditary) changes can serve as tumor markers and can be detected using methods that study changes in genetic material like DNA and RNA. The analysis of proteins can provide additional information. By identifying changes in these molecules that are different or altered in cancer, the investigators can use methods and tests for the detection of these changes. Read Less

This study is researching an experimental CAR T cell therapy called 27T51, referred to as study drug. The study drug is a MUC16 targeting immune cell therapy focused on adult female participants with recurrent or difficult to treat epithelial ovarian, primary peritoneal or fallopian tube cancer. This study has two (2) major parts: Phase 1a Dose Escalation and Phase 1b Dose Expansion. The aim of the dose escalation part will be to test the safety of 27T51 in a small number of participants to find the highest dose given to humans without unacceptable side effects. The aim of the dose expansion part will be to test 27T51 at the established dose level(s) from the dose escalation part and may include other medications given in combination with 27T51. Information collected from this study will help researchers understand more fully whether this immune cell therapy, also known as CAR T cell therapy, can be safely used to treat solid tumors such as ovarian cancer. This study is researching an investigational drug called REGN5668. Participants will receive additional investigational drugs in combination with REGN5668. This study looks at how a short educational video can help people better understand thyroid surgery. Patients who have thyroid nodules and need surgery will be part of the study. Some patients will get the usual information from their doctor, while others will also watch a video that explains the surgery in a simple and clear way. The study will check if the video helps patients feel more confident about their decision, lowers anxiety, and helps them remember important information about their surgery.
