This study involves delivering a mindfulness program that was developed for Veterans called VA Compassionate Awareness Learning Module (VA CALM) to Veterans with spinal cord injuries (SCI) to develop accommodations to make the VA CALM program more accessible for those with SCI. It will involve delivering the unmodified curriculum to a group of Veterans with SCI first to determine what areas need accommodations, working with a group of stakeholders to develop appropriate accommodations, and then delivering 1-2 modified modules via virtual reality to evaluate whether using virtual reality was feasible and acceptable for this program. The study investigators are interested in learning more about how drugs, that are given to children by their health care provider, act in the bodies of children and young adults in hopes to find the most safe and effective dose for children. To compare the effects of the following types of therapy on knee range of motion when given to patients with chronic knee pain: * A standard steroid injection * Peripheral nerve stimulation (PNS) therapy in combination with a standard steroid injection * PNS therapy in combination with a placebo injection Steroid injections are given directly into the knee joints and are considered to be the standard therapy for chronic knee pain. This exploratory, proof-of-concept study is a double-blind (participants and investigators will be blinded), placebo-controlled, randomized, two-arm clinical trial of Marinol \[dronabinol, synthetic Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)\] for chronic low back pain (cLBP) with a 2:1 allocation ratio. Up to 75 subjects will be enrolled in this pilot study and randomized to receive doses of THC (up to 30 mg/day), orally, over 8 weeks. This study will be conducted at a single site; it does not include any stratifications, and there is no interim analysis planned. Notably, the goal is to determine whether there is enough evidence of the safety of THC to support the development of later-phase clinical trials. To demonstrate the potential benefits and risk of active sub-threshold stimulation in the treatment of chronic knee pain as compared to subjects that did not have active stimulation. Improvement will be assessed in relation to the clinical outcome measures of pain, with primary endpoint; Pain relief rate as measured by the number of subjects with greater or equal to a 50% decrease in pain on the visual analog scale, comparing baseline to the 1-month follow-up. This randomized controlled trial will test the hypothesis that patients receiving an intraoperative auricular acupuncture protocol will require less postoperative opioid analgesic use compared to those who do not receive acupuncture in the setting of a multimodal analgesic protocol for patients receiving surgery to repair distal radius fractures at a Level 1 trauma center under brachial plexus anesthesia with sedation. The purpose is to find out if intraoperative acupuncture performed by needling PC 6 and LI4 point bilaterally, and Yin Tang point will help reduce the incidence postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy when added to a prophylactic regimen consisting of ondansetron and dexamethasone. The hypothesis is that the addition of this acupuncture treatment to ondansetron and dexamethasone given for prophylaxis will help reduce the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy when compared to patients receiving ondansetron and dexamethasone without acupuncture.
