Psilocybin vs Ketamine for Alcohol Use Disorder
Recruiting
This study will collect data that measures the effects of a psychedelic intervention on patients struggling with alcohol use disorder (AUD). The study design will be a double blind, randomized, active-comparator trial with two study arms. Subjects randomized to Arm 1 (n=40) will receive individual psychotherapy sessions plus a 30 mg dose of psilocybin. Arm 2 subjects (n=40) will receive individual psychotherapy sessions and a 0.75 mg/kg dose of ketamine.

Completed
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of intranasal esketamine 84 milligram (mg) compared with intranasal placebo along with standard care treatment, in reducing the symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDD) (an affective disorder manifested by either a dysphoric mood or loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities, the mood disturbance is prominent and relatively persistent), including the risk for suicide as assessed by the Investigator, in participants who will be assess... Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of 3 Fixed Doses of Intranasal Esketamine in Addition to Comprehensive Standard of Care for the Rapid Reduction of the Symptoms of Major Depressive Disorder, Including Suicidal Ideation, in Pediatric Participants Assessed to be at Imminent Risk for Suicide
Completed
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of a single (first) dose of 3 fixed doses of intranasal esketamine {28 milligram (mg), 56 mg, and 84 mg} compared with psychoactive placebo (oral midazolam) in rapidly reducing the symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDD) including suicidal ideation in participants 12 to less than 18 years of age who are assessed to be at imminent risk for suicide.

Ketamine Alcohol (in Treatment-Resistant Depression)
Recruiting
A single subanesthetic dose infusion of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist ketamine has rapid and robust antidepressant effects in patients with treatment-refractory major depressive disorder (TRD). A family history of an alcohol use disorder (Family History Positive, FHP) is one of the strongest identified predictors of an improved antidepressant response to ketamine. Like ketamine, alcohol is a functional NMDA receptor antagonist. FHP is associated with differential response t... Read More
