This phase III trial compares the effect of adding surgery to a standard of care immunotherapy-based drug combination versus a standard of care immunotherapy-based drug combination alone in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, ipilimumab, pembrolizumab, and avelumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Axitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Surgery to remove the kidney, called a nephrectomy, is also considered standard of care; however, doctors who treat kidney cancer do not agree on its benefits. It is not yet known if the addition of surgery to an immunotherapy-based drug combination works better than an immunotherapy-based drug combination alone in treating patients with kidney cancer. This phase III trial studies how well standard systemic therapy with or without definitive treatment (prostate removal surgery or radiation therapy) works in treating participants with prostate cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Addition of prostate removal surgery or radiation therapy to standard systemic therapy for prostate cancer may lower the chance of the cancer growing or spreading. Read Less

Tumor hypoxia is one of the physiological factors for treatment resistance and likely contributes to poor overall survival among patients with head and neck cancer (HNC). Identifying hypoxic features of HNC may allow the personalizing treatment plan. The investigators propose multiparametric Hypoxia MR (HMR) imaging using diffusion, perfusion, and oxygenation as non-invasive, in-vivo imaging components of a hypoxia phenotype. Assessing the hypoxia phenotypes' expression will be critically important for characterizing and predicting CRT response among patients with advanced HNC. A prospective cohort study will be conducted used multiparametric MR (MPMR) imaging correlated with treatment response assessed by 3 months fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography (FDG-PET). The image analysis approach will be developed to incorporate FDG-PET and quantitative MRI characteristics of tumor (ADC, oxygen-enhanced T1 and T2\* maps, and volume transfer constant (Ktrans) to facilitate 3D visualization of multiparametric information. This proposed study's overarching goal is to develop and validate multiparametric HMR imaging using 18F - (fluoromisonidazole) FMISO-PET and immunohistochemistry (IHC) as the standard of references. This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy with or without cisplatin works in treating patients with stage III-IVA squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck who have undergone surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known if radiation therapy is more effective with or without cisplatin in treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to test a randomized, controlled diet and physical activity intervention designed to be simple and address barriers to participation in lifestyle intervention among 16 urinary bladder cancer patients. Aim 1 is to test the feasibility and acceptability of a novel, peri-operative lifestyle intervention, "The Boost Box", among bladder cancer patients receiving cystectomy with or without neo-adjuvant chemotherapy. Aim 2 is to measure the feasibility of collecting data on the intervention effects on complication rate, nutritional status, weight loss, and quality of life post-surgery among bladder cancer patients receiving cystectomy ± neoadjuvant therapy. Secondarily, we will determine the magnitude of association between study group and outcomes to inform power calculations in a future, well-powered trial. Participants will: * attend two dietetic consultations at baseline and post-surgical recovery where nutritional status will be evaluated with patient-generated subjective global assessment (PG-SGA) * complete baseline questionnaires (TCC, FACT-BI-Cys, Short 2012, FAACT, Godin) * receive weekly BOOST boxes * complete pre-surgery weekly BOOST check ins * complete post-surgery weekly BOOST check ins * complete an ASA food recall pre and post-surgery * complete an exercise familiarization consult * record weekly resistance and aerobic exercise performed at home * complete a 6 month follow-up questionnaire * receive compensation Researchers will compare to a Usual Care group to determine differences that could be attributed to the BOOST Box intervention. This is an open-label, phase 1b dose-escalation study of cabozantinib in combination with 177Lu-PSMA-617 in subjects with mCRPC. The primary hypothesis is that cabozantinib with 177Lu-PSMA will be safe and have efficacy in patients with mCRPC. The dose-escalation phase (Part 1) will assess the rate of dose-limiting toxicities (DLTs) during the DLT evaluation period and identify the MTD and/or recommended dose and schedule for the subsequent expansion phase (Part 2). This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and an ALK fusion mutation. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if using topical tretinoin will help patients with colorectal cancer who are experiencing an acneiform rash as a side effect of their treatment. This is a Phase I trial evaluating the safety of personalized radiation therapy based on levels of hypoxia identified on FMISO-PET and MRI. All patients will receive a baseline FMISO positron emission tomography (PET) and MRI to identify levels of hypoxia. Patients with tumor hypoxia will receive a higher dose of radiation therapy. Subjects who do not have hypoxic tumors will be treated with the standard-of-care radiation regimen. After fraction 10 of radiation therapy, an additional MRI will be performed. If this interim MRI demonstrates little or no response (as defined in Section 6), an optional boost radiation dose can be administered. Trial enrollment will be conducted in two parts. In Part 1, eight patients will be enrolled. After all eight patients have completed the 30 day dose-limiting toxicity (DLT) period, enrollment will be placed on hold and safety will be evaluated. During the interim analysis, one additional patient will be allowed to be enrolled in the trial. If the trial meets stopping rules as described in Section 11.3, the trial will be re-evaluated by the Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (DSMC) and the Principal Investigator. However, if the rate of DLTs remains below the unacceptable toxicity rate, enrollment will open to the enrollment of eight more patients. Read Less

The goal of this study is to evaluate if adding community services navigation to the standard referral process for social needs is an effective and scalable strategy for addressing disparities in follow-up to abnormal breast cancer screening results. The investigators will determine the effectiveness of social needs referrals combined with a community services navigation intervention in the screening mammography setting to improving breast screening outcomes in underserved women.
