Assessing the Clinical Benefit of Molecular Profiling in Patients With Solid Tumors
Recruiting
Many patients are treated for advanced cancer without knowledge of underlying molecular features that might indicate FDA approved therapies or potential eligibility for biomarker-selected clinical trials. The Strata Trial (STR-001-001) has been initiated by Strata Oncology to evaluate the clinical benefit of systematic comprehensive genomic profiling for participants with advanced cancer using real-world data and endpoints, while assessing the proportion of participants available for clinical t... STI/HIV Intervention Behavioral Intervention Program
Recruiting
The hypothesis is that a behavioral intervention tool adapted for the US military population will be acceptable and associated with a decrease in incident sexually transmitted infection (STI)/HIV rates and high-risk sexual behaviors, and increased self-reported condom use compared to the standard of care at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Preventive Medicine clinic and the Fort Bragg Department of Public Health (part of Womack Army Medical Center).

Antiseptic Effects on the Dental Implant Internal Surface Microbiome
Recruiting
Soldiers operate in environments that are more likely to lead to oral trauma, risking poor dentition which can directly impact military readiness. Dental restoration can often be accomplished via dental implant insertion. Microbiome-associated complications that result in bone loss, including the micro-leakage of bacterial species proliferating in the dental implant internal cavity, frequently lead to implant failure. Reduction in implant bacterial load may result in a shift of the composition o... Read More

Testing the Use of Targeted Treatment (AMG 510) for KRAS G12C Mutated Advanced Non-squamous Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (A Lung-MAP Treatment Trial)
Recruiting
This phase II Lung-MAP treatment trial studies the effect of AMG 510 in treating non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer that is stage IV or has come back (recurrent) and has a specific mutation in the KRAS gene, known as KRAS G12C. Mutations in this gene may cause the cancer to grow. AMG 510, a targeted treatment against the KRAS G12C mutation, may help stop the growth of tumor cells.

Brain-Physical Optimization Conditioning
Recruiting
Brain-Physical Optimization Conditioning (B-POC) aims to enhance physical performance by expanding the traditional focus of endurance training from purely physical training to the domain of cognitive endurance (Staiano et al., 2015; Dallaway et al., 2017). The current study seeks to isolate neurocognitive mechanisms of performance, particularly under high stress (e.g., physical or cognitive load) conditions, and to develop corresponding cognitive optimization tools.

Trigger Point Injection for Myofascial Pain Syndrome in the Low Back: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Recruiting
Rationale: Low back pain (LBP), or myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) of the low back, accounts for approximately 2.63 million visits in the United States, or 2.3 percent of annual Emergency Department (ED) visits. An estimated 100 billion dollars per year is lost from LBP. Approximately one-third of this is direct costs. Previous studies have established the safety of trigger point injections (TPI). However, the results of these studies are highly heterogeneous regarding TPI's ability to treat pain... Read More
