The purpose of this study is to define the mechanisms of cannabis on the genome of people with HIV who use cannabis. The investigator aims to better understand the effect of Dronabinol on immune and inflammatory functions, and whether these changes are HIV-status dependent. This research may better inform public health policy regarding cannabis use. Depending on the results, additional studies may also build upon this research to develop more effective and specific treatments for cannabis use associated disorders. Read Less

This randomization study is to compare both intrathecal morphine and intravenous methadone, which are both standard of care, for pain management in patients undergoing retroperitoneal lymph node dissections for primary testicular cancer. The purpose of this research is to better understand the impact of cortically-induced blindness (CB) and the compensatory strategies subjects with this condition may develop on naturalistic behaviors, specifically, driving. Using a novel Virtual Reality (VR) program, the researchers will gather data on steering behavior in a variety of simulated naturalistic environments. Through the combined use of computer vision, deep learning, and gaze-contingent manipulations of the visual field, this work will test the central hypothesis that changes to visually guided steering behaviors in CB are a consequence of changes to the visual sampling and processing of task-related motion information (i.e., optic flow). This study aims to investigate the use of a novel formulation of tacrolimus, as a toothpaste, in a population of patients with oral chronic graft vs. host disease (cGVHD) as an adjunctive therapy in addition to standard-of-care systemic therapy. The investigators plan to summarize our findings to add to the current body of literature regarding managing cGVHD, specifically those with oral involvement. Additionally, establishing effective topical application of tacrolimus in the oral cavity will allow for future prospective studies comparing outcomes for these patients with a more traditional standard of care. This research study is being done to find out if the immunotherapy drugs called CDX-301 and CDX-1140 in combination with the standard chemotherapy treatment pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD, Doxil) are safe and effective at controlling the cancer in patients with metastatic triple Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) negative breast cancer, and to determine a safe dose and treatment schedule of the three drugs. This current protocol will provide the key data to help determine the specificity of our to-be-developed radiotracers by implementing a multi-site diagnostic assessment core and PET imaging of A-beta amyloid (may be completed at some sites as part of another protocol) that is commonly deposited in the brains of people with Parkinson's Disease (PD), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) or Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) as well as healthy controls. This multicenter U19 grant is centered at U Pennsylvania (U Penn) (PI: Robert Mach) in collaboration with U Pittsburgh (Pitt), Yale University, U of California at San Francisco (UCSF) and Washington University in St. Louis (WU). The goal of this project is to demonstrate digital training efficacy at scale and commercial readiness. This pilot project will advance piloted digital training programs for CRAFT and maximize scalability. In this project, investigators will: Aim 1: Optimize the digital CRAFT training product based on data and feedback from the pilot and commercialization advisors. Aim 2: Conduct a fully powered randomized control trial of 3 levels of digital training (Level 1 - Digital tutorial only \[T\]; Level 2 - Tutorial \& digital training materials for self-study \[TM\]; Level 3 - Tutorial, digital materials, feedback and coaching \[TMC\]) to examine the effects of training on CRAFT knowledge, fidelity, and plus IP treatment entry/retention and counselor skill pre- and post-tutorial, at 12 weeks and at 6 months. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is caused by food or acid coming up from the stomach into the esophagus, repeatedly. The esophagus is the tube that carries food and liquids from the mouth to the stomach. The body uses stomach acid to break down food, but when acid rises up into the esophagus it can hurt or damage it. People with GERD often feel food coming back up into the throat and mouth and have a burning feeling in their stomach, chest, or throat, called heartburn. Other symptoms of GERD include pain in the stomach or throat, difficulty eating, and throwing up. Symptomatic nonerosive GERD is a condition where people have the symptoms of GERD but the esophagus has not been damaged. People of all ages can have GERD. The causes of GERD in children are similar to those in adults and teenagers. Dexlansoprazole is a medicine that has been shown to help relieve the symptoms of GERD in adults and teenagers. This study aims to find out if dexlansoprazole doses given to children with symptomatic nonerosive GERD, based on their body weight, helps them feel better. Read Less

The objective of this study is to collect information on patients with cardiomyopathy (CM) due to mutations in the MYBPC3 gene, to evaluate their disease course, burden of illness, risk factors for this disease, and the quality of life (QoL).
