The purpose of this study is to assess and compare conditions for tracheal intubation obtained with modified time principal induction with 0.6 mg/kg rocuronium and 1 mg/kg succinylcholine. Specifically, the investigators will be evaluating ease of laryngoscopy, vocal cord view, vocal cord opening, and movement of limbs and coughing during tracheal intubation in order to assess intubation conditions, to compare efficiency and success rate of tracheal intubation between two induction agents and to determine the rate of patient awareness during induction and post-operative recall of paralysis. Major depressive disorder (MDD; depression) is a mood disorder that causes a continued feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It is a common and serious illness that can cause both emotional and physical symptoms such as feelings of sadness, irritability, not being able to focus on activities, tiredness, changes in eating habits, and aches and pains. The main goal of the study is to evaluate how safe and effective fosigotifator is in treating MDD. Fosigotifator (ABBV-CLS-7262) is a new treatment being developed for adult patients with depression. This study is double-blinded, which means that neither the patients nor the study doctors know who is given fosigotifator and who is given placebo. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups to receive fosigatofator or placebo. There is 1 in 2 chance that participants will receive placebo. Approximately 106 adult participants with MDD will be enrolled in approximately 15 sites across the world. Participants will receive oral fosigotifator or matching placebo. Duration of the study is approximately 144 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular weekly visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. Inguinal hernia repair-the most common general surgery operation in the U.S.-provides a unique opportunity to improve outcomes for older patients by changing surgical practice. Nearly 80% of inguinal hernia operations are performed under general anesthesia versus 15-20% using local anesthesia, despite the absence of evidence for superiority. The choice of anesthesia has particular implications for older adults because they face substantial short- and long-term risk of cognitive and physical decline after exposure to general anesthesia. Consequently, the American College of Surgeons and the American Geriatrics Society have identified a critical need in surgery: determining which operations have better outcomes when performed under local rather than general anesthesia. Currently, the evidence for choosing an anesthesia technique for inguinal hernia repair in older adults is inconclusive. Several small randomized trials and cohort studies have suggested that using local anesthesia for hernia repair reduces morbidity by one-third, unplanned readmissions by 20%, and operative time and costs by 15% while other studies showed no significant differences. However, there are significant flaws in these studies that severely limit their applicability to older adults: (1) They mainly focused on younger patients with limited comorbidity burden, largely ignoring individuals aged 65 years and older, (2) They did not adequately examine the effects of general anesthesia on cognitive function and quality of life for older adults and their caregivers, (3) They did not consult with stakeholders to identify outcomes relevant to those groups. The investigators plan to investigate the efficacy of blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy in post operative rehabilitation following hip arthroscopy. BFR has shown to be great at helping the recovery process. SAGA is a well-known smart training technology company, and the investigators aim to partner with SAGA to use the BFR cuffs as the intervention method. The BFR cuff will be added to the current SOC for hip scope PT for the intervention group. Read Less

This trial will treat patients with platinum resistant ovarian, fallopian tube or primary peritoneal cancer as defined by a progression free interval within six months of completion of most recent platinum-based treatment with a combination of vismodegib and atezolizumab. Despite recent improvements in treatment of ovarian cancer with the introduction of PARP inhibitors, response rates to therapy in the platinum resistant setting remain dismal with response rates of only 10-20% reported for single agent cytotoxic therapies. Given the poor prognosis and limited treatment options for these patients, this population is considered appropriate for trials of novel therapeutic candidates. Read Less

This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of camu camu when used in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with kidney cancer that has spread to other places in the body. A monoclonal antibody is a type of protein that can bind to certain targets in the body, such as molecules that cause the body to make an immune response (antigens). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Camu camu is a prebiotic that may have a beneficial effect on the immune system. Giving camu camu in combination with nivolumab and ipilimumab may kill more tumor cells than nivolumab and ipilimumab alone in patients with metastatic kidney cancer. Read Less
