Dose-Reduced Docetaxel With Cyclophosphamide for the Treatment of Vulnerable Older Women With Stage I-III HER2 Negative Breast Cancer, the DOROTHY Trial
Recruiting
This phase II trial tests how well dose-reduced docetaxel combined with cyclophosphamide works in treating older women with early stage (stage I-III) HER2 negative breast cancer vulnerable to toxicity. Chemotherapy drugs, such as docetaxel and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Docetaxel and cyclophosphamide are commonly used, but is not well tolerated at the... Read More

Moderate Versus High Volume Light-Moderate Intensity Exercise for People With Moderate Parkinson's Disease
Recruiting
Veterans with mid to later stage Parkinson's disease (PD) may not be able to work out as hard as they need to, to prevent brain cell loss. Maybe they could work out longer and more frequently to make up for this during their good times and good weeks and then rest during the bad weeks. The investigators will compare how effective working out a lot one week per month with a break of three weeks is to continuously exercising weekly with no breaks in people with mid stage PD. The investigators will... Read More

Implementing Group Battlefield Acupuncture in CCRCs for the Treatment of Chronic Lower Back Pain
Recruiting
Lower back pain (LBP) is one of the most common causes of disability, with 68% of adults over 60 years of age suffering from chronic Lower Back Pain (cLBP). In addition to the exacerbation of physical, social and emotional health issues, LBP has a staggeringly high US economic burden. Community-dwelling older adults experience a significant amount of chronic pain and treatments that are effective in their younger adult counterparts (e.g., pain medications, exercise) are often not safe or feasibl... Evaluation of Topical ATR12-351 in Adults with Netherton Syndrome
Recruiting
The objectives of this clinical trial are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of topically applied ATR12-351, to understand what the body does to ATR12-351, and to observe treatment benefits of the drug in approximately 12 adult patients with Netherton Syndrome (NS). ATR12-351 will be applied to skin lesions on one side of the body, while the vehicle control will be applied to similar lesion on the other side of the body twice daily for 2 weeks.

Augmenting Rehabilitation Outcomes and Functional Neuroplasticity Using Epidural Stimulation of Cervical Spinal Cord
Recruiting
The goal of this study is to investigate the effects of cervical epidural spinal stimulation with upper extremity training. This is an investigational study. The device used for epidural spinal stimulation (ESS) to deliver spinal stimulation is called the CoverEdgeX 32 Surgical Lead system. This device is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of severe pain and to manage chronic pain when other treatments have not been effective. In this study, the device is consi... Read More

A Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Immunogenicity of CH505M5 N197D mRNA-gp160 Followed by CH505 TF mRNA-gp160 in Adults in Overall Good Health Without HIV
Recruiting
This is a multicenter, open-label, non-randomized, dose escalation, first-in-human (FIH) trial to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of CH505M5 N197D mRNA-gp160 and CH505 TF mRNA-gp160. Both products are mRNA encapsulated in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) (subsequently referred to as mRNA-LNPs). The primary hypotheses are: 1. the CH505M5 N197D mRNA-gp160 will expand CH235-like B cell precursors, 2. the CH505 TF mRNA-gp160 will boost CH235-like bnAb B cell precursors to acquire more functional m...
