Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis have become important tools in public health informatics but have rarely been applied to the hospital setting. In this study we apply these tools to address the challenge of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) by building, implementing, and evaluating a new computer application which incorporates mapping and geographic data to assist hospital epidemiologists in identifying HAI clusters and assessing transmission risk. We expect that incorporation of geographic information into the workflow of hospital epidemiologists will have a profound effect on our understanding of disease transmission and HAI risk factors in the hospital setting, radically altering the workflow and speed of response of infection preventionists and improving their ability to prevent HAIs. This study will be done in two phases. Using stakeholder input (community advisory board (CAB)), the study team will adapt the SMART program to incorporate education and self-management support for use of Rescue Medication (RM) to manage seizure occurrence among Persons With Epilepsy (PWE) who have repetitive seizures. Additional content/support materials, pending input stakeholder might include posters/hand-outs that present information on the use of RM in a way that is engaging and salient to PWE. It is expected that participants will be in Phase 1 for about 3 months and participate in the CAB 2 or 3 times via zoom for 60-90 minutes/meeting. The advisory board will provide input on needed refinement of an adapted version of SMART based on their individual experiences. It is anticipate the total time commitment to be no more than 6 hours over 3 months, spread out over 2-3 meetings with review of materials possible in between meetings. Phase 2: The investigators will use a 6-month prospective trial design to test engagement with and effects of SMART-RM among approximately 35 adult (≥ 18 years) PWE who have repetitive seizures. Suicide is the leading cause of death among YEH and most youth do not access services that may be available to them. Therefore, this study seeks to address this gap in the research literature with the goal to identify an effective intervention that can be readily adopted by communities that serve these youth. We will test the effects of outreach-worker delivered Cognitive Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CTSP)+Services as Usual (SAU) versus SAU alone on suicidal ideation (primary outcome), substance use and depressive symptoms (secondary outcomes) at 3, 6, 9 and 12- months. The purpose of this study is to collect electrophysiological data related to functional brain network changes in patients undergoing deep brain stimulation for the treatment of essential tremor. Participants will be asked to remain seated with their head inside of a Magnetoencephalography (MEG) recording system as resting-state and task-related data are acquired. Spontaneous electrophysiological activity will be recorded in both the eyes open and eyes closed conditions with the participant seated comfortably. These recordings will be repeated in the DBS OFF and DBS ON states, with the ON state involving specific settings identified as optimal, sub-optimal, or ineffective at achieving tremor control. They will also be repeated following the optional administration non-DBS tremor mitigation techniques, which may include one or more of 1) cooling the limb, 2) oral administration of alprazolam, 3) oral consumption of ethanol (alcohol), or 4) peripheral nerve stimulation. This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects and best dose of CC-99282 with rituximab for the treatment of patients who have received chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy for non-Hodgkins lymphoma and in whom have had a sub-optimal response early on to CAR T-cell therapy. Immunotherapy with CC-99282 may induce changes in the body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody. It binds to a protein called CD20, which is found on B cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of cancer cells. This may help the immune system kill cancer cells. Giving CC-99282 with rituximab may be a safe and effective treatment option for patients who have received CAR-T cell therapy for relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Read Less

The main reason for this research study is to learn more about some new tests that are being developing for patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) to measure changes in the lungs. In this study, the focus will be to learn how stopping Airway Clearance (ACT) and re-starting ACT can affect these tests. These new tests include using a breathable gas called Xenon (Xe) with MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to improve the pictures of changes in the lungs. The Xenon (Xe) gas that has been treated to have a larger MRI signal (also called hyperpolarized). The other new test is called LCI (Lung Clearance Index) that can measure how well the lungs are working. The MRI machine used in this study has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is commercially available for sale in the USA. Hyperpolarized Xe gas is an FDA-approved, inhaled contrast agent for lung ventilation MRI. The new Xe MRI techniques that are being developed and used for this research study are investigational, meaning these new Xe MRI techniques are not FDA approved, but they are similar to FDA-approved techniques that are used clinically at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Xe gas and the new MRI techniques used in this research study have been used for many years in research, including in many research studies conducted at CCHMC like this one. Read Less

The goal of this randomized controlled trial is to compare the difference in quality of life at one year postoperatively for patients undergoing incisional hernia repair with mesh versus suture repair using modern techniques. The main question it aims to answer are: • Determine if primary suture repair is non-inferior to mesh repair for incisional hernias 2-6cm with respect to quality of life using the HerQLes summary score at one year postoperatively.
