Immunoglobulin light chain (AL) amyloidosis is the most common form of systemic amyloidosis. AL amyloidosis has many root causes and is characterized by the overproduction of AL that are secreted by clonal bone marrow plasma cells. This is a study to determine adverse events and change in disease activity in adult participants with AL amyloidosis treated with ABBV-383. Etentamig (ABBV-383) is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of AL amyloidosis. This study in broken into 2 parts (dose escalation and safety expansion) with 5 arms. During dose escalation (arms 1-3) participants will receive 1 of 3 doses of ABBV-383 to determine the part 2 doses. After completion of the dose escalation portion of the study, the safety expansion (part 2) portion of the study will begin. Two arms (arm 4-5) will begin and participants will receive 1 of 2 doses as determined during the dose escalation portion (part 1). Around 76 adult participants with relapsed/refractory AL amyloidosis will be enrolled at approximately 20 sites across the world. Participants will receive Etentamig (ABBV-383) as an infusion into the vein for up to approximately 2 year study duration. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. This is a prospective, single-arm, observational study capturing data from whole-body magnetic resonance imagining (WB-MRI) from up to 100,000 male and female subjects 18 years of age or older recruited at multiple clinical sites within the United States. Study subjects must meet a set of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Potential subjects arriving at the study sites will be evaluated for enrollment. It is the Principal Investigator's (PI) responsibility to enroll only subjects who satisfy the inclusion/exclusion criteria. Recruitment can occur by subject presentation at the sites for elective standard screening, word-of-mouth, flyers, healthcare professional (HCP) referrals, advertisement online, or any other means, subject to approval by the associated institutional review board (IRB) or ethics committee (EC) when applicable. The purpose of this research study is to compare the effects, good and/or bad, of using the standard of care treatment, hormonal therapy + Stereotactic Ablative Radiation (SABR) to the metastatic lesions, compared to standard of care and addition of 6-months of niraparib/abiraterone acetate combination pills and prednisone for participants with recurrent metastatic prostate cancer. The aim of this study is to compare intravenous famotidine, an H2 receptor antagonist, and Maalox/ Mylanta, an oral antacid, in treatment of dyspepsia in the emergency department. The goal of this study is to reduce patients' pain based on the verbal numerical pain scale. The anticipated outcome is for pain levels in both groups to decrease. It is expected that antacids will improve symptoms more quickly and to a greater degree within an hour of taking medication based on the results of similar studies. Read Less

This phase II trial evaluates the diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for assessing treatment response in patients undergoing transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for liver tumors. TACE is a hepatic artery embolization technique involving the injection of a blocking agent and a chemotherapy agent to treat liver cancers. Currently, contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography are used to assess disease response 1-2 months after TACE treatment, but ultrasound may be a less expensive, earlier alternative. CEUS is an imaging procedure that uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of the body after administering Lumason, an imaging agent used to enhance visualization of blood flow on ultrasounds. CEUS is able to be performed during the TACE procedure, making it possible to evaluate treatment response earlier than standard techniques. CEUS may be an effective method to evaluate treatment response more accurately and much earlier than current standard evaluation methods. Read Less

The investigators are interested in studying the effect of an animated video depicting a nail biopsy procedure on the anxiety, health literacy, and satisfaction of participants recommended to undergo a nail biopsy procedure. The investigators hypothesize that the animated video will reduce preoperative anxiety, increase health literacy, and increase patient satisfaction in relation to nail biopsy procedures. Read Less

The purpose of this research study is to test the study drug, NORA520, as a possible treatment for severe postpartum depression (PPD). The trial aims to determine: * How well NORA520 is tolerated and what side effects it may cause * If NORA520 reduces depressive symptoms in subjects with severe PPD * The amount of NORA520 in the blood at various times after taking the study drug; this provides information that helps determine how often NORA520 should be taken * In a subset of subjects, the amount of NORA520 in breastmilk at various times after taking it to determine if and how much NORA520 can pass into breastmilk Participate in this study will be randomly assigned to one of 3 different groups. The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about dosing when testing to see if a penicillin allergy label can be removed from adults that had been labeled as "penicillin-allergic" previously. The main question it aims to answer is: - In penicillin-allergic patients that are at low risk of having an allergic reaction, is a one-dose oral challenge with amoxicillin (a penicillin-based antibiotic) as safe and effective as a two-dose oral challenge? Participants will, after being identified as having a low-risk penicillin allergy, be administered oral amoxicillin in a controlled setting and then monitored for an allergic reaction. Researchers will compare participants that took one dose of amoxicillin to participants that took two doses of amoxicillin (a small dose and then a larger dose) to see if either group was more likely to develop an allergic reaction. The purpose of this registry is to collect clinical data from participants attending UNC Hospitals who present with metastatic cancer and are evaluated to receive radiation therapy as part of their standard of care treatment. The goal of this study is to provide a foundation for studies designed to identify projects across the translational continuum related to metastatic cancer and radiation therapy treatment. The relevant clinical data will be linked to patient-reported outcomes (PROs) thus allowing for a unique and robust dataset. Ultimately, this registry will provide current and future studies with the ability to analyze the correlation of radiation therapy regimens with metastatic cancer outcomes. Read Less

In most academic institutions, current practice is to provide parental teaching on use of a stethoscope to auscultate their child when there is suspicion for distress, in addition to requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes.
