This clinical trial tests the effectiveness of an online weight loss plus resistance training intervention (iLIVE) to decrease obesity and improve frailty in men with prostate cancer who received androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). Androgen deprivation therapy increases the risk of frailty, weight gain and obesity in prostate cancer survivors. The combination of frailty and obesity can lead to a decrease in quality of life and an increased risk of recurrent falls. The purpose of this study is to help providers develop an interdisciplinary treatment pathway for functional neurological disorder (FND) at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and will involve psychiatry, speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. The purpose of this study is to assess sense of control and catastrophic symptom expectations as targets for Retraining and Control Therapy (ReACT- an intervention focused on changing behaviors and thoughts) for treatment of adult psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES, episodes resembling epileptic seizures but with no correlated epileptiform activity). 19 years and older participants diagnosed with PNES who are treated at UAB FND clinic will engage in twelve sessions of ReACT. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three conditions: no wait, 3-month waiting period, 6-month waiting period. Sense of control over actions will be measured by the magic and turbulence task, a well-validated measure of sense of control. Participants will complete the cold pressor test (CPT) in which participants hold their hand in cool water for as long as possible up to 3 minutes. Catastrophic symptom expectations in response to the CPT will be measured by Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS), pain tolerance (time with hand in water) and cortisol response. Target assessments occur 7 days before treatment and 7 days after the 12th treatment session. Participants randomized to the 3-month and 6-month waiting period will also complete these measures one additional time immediately before the beginning of their waiting period. Long term follow-up assessments will occur at 2 months, 6 months and 12 months after the 12th treatment session. PNES frequency will be measured from 30 days before to 12 months after treatment. Participants randomized to the 3-month or 6-month waiting period conditions will log weekly PNES episodes until the start of therapy. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the effect of usual treatment of chemotherapy and steroids and a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) to the same treatment plus blinatumomab. Blinatumomab is a Bi-specific T-Cell Engager ('BiTE') that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. The researchers are doing this study to find out if the study drug, enzalutamide, alone or combined with the study drug, mifepristone, is effective in treating advanced or metastatic androgen receptor-positive (AR+) triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) or estrogen receptor-low breast cancer (ER-low BC), and whether these study treatments work as well as standard chemotherapy with carboplatin, paclitaxel, capecitabine, or eribulin. The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects, safety and how PF-06823859 is processed in adults with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) or systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) showing some skin symptoms. This study is seeking for participants who: * are adults of 18 years of age or older. * are confirmed to have CLE or SLE with involvement of the skin. * have a Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus Disease Area and Severity Index activity (CLASI-A) score of at least 8. About 48 participants will be selected to receive active study medicine (PF-06823859) or placebo (an infusion without drug). About 32 are grouped to receive the active study medicine and 16 are to receive placebo. They will be receiving the treatments by intravenous infusion (injected directly into the veins). At week 16 all participants receiving the active study drug since day 1 and participants who have received placebo since day 1 and are not responding clinically will receive active study medication. Patients who have received placebo since Day 1 and who have had a clinical response will continue to receive placebo till week 40. All participants will have last follow-up visit at Week 60. The study will compare participants receiving PF-06823859 to participants who receive placebo. This will help us see if PF-06823859 is safe and effective to treat CLE or SLE with skin symptoms and improve participant's CLASI-A score. Participants will take part in this study for about 65 weeks. This includes up to a 5-week selection period, a 12-week Q4Wk treatment period, a 36-week Q8Wk treatment period, and a 12-week follow-up period. Read Less

Etavopivat is a new medicine under development for treating blood disorders like sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. Sickle cell disease and thalassaemia are inherited blood disorders that affect haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the protein that carries oxygen through the body. This study is looking into how safe treatment with etavopivat is and how well it works over a long period of time. The study will last for up to 264 weeks, but it will end earlier if etavopivat is approved in the participant's country. Read Less

Opioid use disorder (OUD) is a treatable medical illness with three medications FDA approved for treatment. However, persons with OUD report significant sleep disturbance, even when treated with medications for opioid use disorder, leading to high rates of relapse. In this project, we will investigate a special set of photosensitive neurons in the retina as an underlying mechanism for circadian rhythm and sleep disturbance from opioid use and medications for OUD that could lead to novel intervention and improve treatment outcomes. In an effort to reduce graft versus host disease (GVHD) and enhance graft versus leukemia (GVL) effect post allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT), recent research has focused on host immune cell depletion. Frame shifting anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) backwards to earlier days before days 0 can result in deeper host and less graft T-cell depletion, leading to better immune reconstitution. Preliminary data where 80% of the ATG dose is given on days -6,-5,-4 and 20% given on day -1, showed effective prevention of severe acute GVHD, chronic GVHD and favorable early immune reconstitution. We hypothesize that our 2 step ATG dosing platform when combined with standard tacrolimus and mini methotrexate can prevent grade III-IV acute GVHD and chronic GVHD, resulting in improvement of GVHD/relapse free survival at one year post transplant.
