Studies found that increasing the intake of fiber, pre- and probiotics, and fermented foods have been linked to improved glycemic biomarkers. The goal of this crossover randomized trial is to assess the relationship between lengthened fermentation time of sourdough bread, e.g., an increased amount of lactic acid and acetic acid in the bread product, and postprandial glycemic response in healthy adults with prediabetes. The TARGET-HBV study engages an observational research design to conduct a comprehensive review of outcomes for patients with CHB infection. The initial phase of the study that enrolled patients treated with tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) was successfully completed. The current protocol (Amendment 1) describes the second phase of the study that will engage research activities for patients being managed for CHB in usual clinical practice in the US and Canada. The study addresses important clinical questions regarding the management of CHB by collecting and analyzing data from patients at academic and community medical centers. Investigators' overall objective is to compare methods of identifying individuals who may be experiencing challenges in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and compare methods of intervening to optimize treatment retention and outcomes. Investigators' specific aims are: 1. to determine whether the use of CPT skills versus collaboratively considering switching to Present Centered Therapy (PCT) is more effective in improving outcomes for individuals experiencing challenges with CPT. Outcomes include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) severity \[primary\], depression, functioning, and treatment retention; 2. to compare two approaches to identifying individuals in CPT in need of additional support during treatment; 3. to study the barriers and facilitators of implementing these intervention strategies. Finally, exploratory aims will examine the stability of differences between treatment conditions, compare combinations of interventions tested, and examine moderators of intervention effects. TARA-002-101-Ph2 is an open-label study to investigate the safety and anti-tumor activity of intravesical instillation of TARA-002 in adults 18 years of age or older with high-grade CIS NMIBC (± Ta/T1). The purpose of this Phase 2 study (TARA-002-101-Ph2) is to further assess the safety and anti-tumor activity of TARA-002 at the RP2D which has been established in the Phase 1a dose finding study (TARA-002-101-Ph1a). This Phase 2 study includes participants with CIS NMIBC (± Ta/T1) with active disease (defined as disease present at last tumor evaluation prior to signing ICF). Participants will be enrolled into one of 2 cohorts: Cohort A: * Participants with CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG naive, or * Participants with CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG exposed and have not received intravesical BCG for at least 24 months prior to the most recent CIS diagnosis Cohort B: * Participants with persistent or recurrent CIS (± Ta/T1) who are BCG unresponsive within 12 months of completion of adequate BCG therapy (minimum 5/6 doses induction and 2/3 doses maintenance or 2/6 doses reinduction) Read Less

Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a cancer of the blood's plasma cells ( blood cell). The cancer is typically found in the bones and bone marrow (the spongy tissue inside of the bones) and can cause bone pain, fractures, infections, weaker bones, and kidney failure. Treatments are available, but MM can come back (relapsed) or may not get better (refractory) with treatment. This is a study to determine adverse events and change in disease symptoms of ABBV-383 in adult participants with relapsed/refractory (R/R) MM. ABBV-383 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of R/R Multiple Myeloma (MM). This study is broken into 3 Arms; Arm A (Parts 1 and 2), Arm B and Arm C. Arm A includes 2 parts: step-up dose optimization (Part 1) and dose expansion (Part 2). In Part 1, different level of step-up doses are tested followed by the target dose of ABBV-383. In Part 2, the step-up dose identified in Part 1 (Dose A) will be used followed by the target dose A of ABBV-383. In Arm B a flat dose of ABBV-383 will be tested. "In Arm C, the step-up dose identified in Arm A will be used followed by the target dose of ABBV-383 to investigate outpatient administration of ABBV-383. Around 180 adult participants with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma will be enrolled at approximately 40 sites across the world. Participants will receive ABBV-383 as an infusion into the vein in 28 day cycles for approximately 3 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. A positive impact of a fermented dairy protein with prebiotic fiber supplement on self-reported GI complaints and wellbeing has been suggested (Wardenaar et al. 2024). The following project aims to further investigate the impact of this supplements in athletes with and without GI complaints in two separate data collections. Part I of the data collection aims to investigate the impact of this supplement vs. a placebo on carbohydrate malabsorption (as a potential cause for GI distress) in athletes that normally don't identify as having GI complaints (randomized double-blind cross over study design covering a total of 9 weeks, including a 3-week washout period). Part II of the data collection aims to confirm the earlier found results in the previous study (Wardenaar et al. 2024) in a group athletes self-reporting GI complaints that will be randomized into an intervention group or a placebo group (randomized double-blind parallel study design covering a total of 3 weeks). The investigators want to study if lower doses of chemotherapy will help babies with SCID to achieve good immunity with less short and long-term risks of complications after transplantation. This trial identifies babies with types of immune deficiencies that are most likely to succeed with this approach and offers them transplant early in life before they get severe infections or later if their infections are under control. It includes only patients receiving unrelated or mismatched related donor transplants. The study will test if patients receiving transplant using either a low dose busulfan or a medium dose busulfan will have immune recovery of both T and B cells, measured by the ability to respond to immunizations after transplant. The exact regimen depends on the subtype of SCID the patient has. Donors used for transplant must be unrelated or half-matched related (haploidentical) donors, and peripheral blood stem cells must be used. To minimize the chance of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), the stem cells will have most, but not all, of the T cells removed, using a newer, experimental approach of a well-established technology. Once the stem cell transplant is completed, patients will be followed for 3 years. Approximately 9-18 months after the transplant, vaccinations will be administered, and a blood test measuring whether your child's body has responded to the vaccine will be collected. Read Less
