This is a prospective, observational, multi-center cohort study of pediatric cardiac arrests. The purpose of the study is to determine the association between chest compression mechanics (rate, depth, flow fraction, compression release) and patient outcomes. This protocol is designed to study Orthofix regulatory approved and commercially available spine devices to generate Real World Evidence (RWE) of device safety and performance in the treatment of patients with spine injuries and/or disorders following the local medical standard of care. The clinical data generated from this study will support compliance to global regulatory requirements including but not limited to the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) for the applicable devices. The proposed project aims to integrate team-based implementation strategies with an established school-based intervention for children with ADHD, the Collaborative Life Skills Program (CLS), to enhance its implementation and optimize its effectiveness. The investigators will tailor three empirically-supported team development interventions, Team Charters, Team Communication Training (Student Handoff Protocols), and Team Performance Monitoring, and integrate them into a team-enhanced CLS implementation protocol (CLS-T). Team Charters are a written document developed collaboratively by the team at the outset of their work together outlining expectations, goals, roles and responsibilities, and relevant policies and procedures for team collaborative operations. Research shows that Team Charters strengthen affective emergent states, such as trust and cohesion among team members, as well as cognitive emergent states, such as shared mental models. They also strengthen team processes, such as goal specification, communication, and coordination to optimize team effectiveness. Handoff protocols are widely used interventions for ensuring continuity in patient care and minimizing errors in medical settings. They have also been found to improve affective (e.g., trust, cohesion) and cognitive (e.g., shared mental models, situation awareness) emergent states among team members, enhancing team communication and coordination. Finally, Team Performance Monitoring provides feedback to teams that can motivate performance, provide opportunities for adaptation in the event of challenges, and prompt communication among team members. The investigators will conduct a Hybrid Type III cluster randomized trial in 24 schools in two large urban school districts, to evaluate whether CLS-T implementation results in improved implementation outcomes and child outcomes in comparison to standard CLS implementation. This clinical trial keeps track of and collects follow-up information from patients who are currently enrolled on or have participated in a Children's Oncology Group study. Developing a way to keep track of patients who have participated in Children's Oncology Group studies may allow doctors learn more about the long-term effects of cancer treatment and help them reduce problems related to treatment and improve patient quality of life. This trial is designed to evaluate the effect of glucagon receptor antagonism by volagidemab (once weekly) on glucose recovery from hypoglycemia after treatment with glucagon in adults with type 1 diabetes. After informed consent, Screening procedures to establish subject eligibility will be performed within a period of 28 days. Approximately 24 subjects with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) on stable doses of insulin will be enrolled. After enrollment, subjects will undergo a baseline Hypoglycemia Recovery Procedure (with glucagon rescue). Subjects will then receive volagidemab subcutaneously (SC) once weekly for 6 weeks. At the end of the treatment phase, subjects will undergo a second Hypoglycemia Recovery Procedure. Subjects will be followed for 6 weeks after the last volagidemab dose with a final End-of-Study (EOS) visit during Week 12. The primary outcome will be the change in time to glucagon treatment success at Week 6 versus baseline. Read Less

ARGONAUT is a longitudinal, prospective, observational study that will enroll up to 5,000 advanced-stage cancer patients of diverse racial backgrounds to collect data used to develop precision microbiome medicines and for the identification of clinically actionable cancer-specific biomarkers to guide therapeutic decisions. Four types of solid tumor cancers will be profiled including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), colorectal cancer (CRC) and pancreatic cancer. Healthy control subjects without a cancer diagnosis will also be studied, comprised of individuals at high risk for CRC and healthy individuals at low risk for CRC. Risk assessment will be based on family history or past neoplastic findings during CRC screening. Data collected from this study will be used to develop the most effective new therapies, via microbiome optimization, all to the benefit of patients and the physicians treating them. Stool and blood samples will be collected longitudinally and analyzed to determine the impact of gut microbiome composition and function on the immune system and efficacy of the treatment. Currently enrolling the CRC, high risk, and low risk cohorts. Subjects who meet the entry criteria will provide up to 5 samples each of blood and stool over a 2-year period. Approximately 10%-20% of the subjects will provide colon tissue samples, either from research biopsies during Standard of Care (SOC) screening colonoscopy or retained surgical tissue from colectomy. Electronic health records will be obtained at various times for up to 8 years, to collect tumor imaging results and any other updated medical data, with no additional samples collected. Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD), although uncommon in the general population, is an important phenotype of severe asthma and nasal polyposis where it occurs in 15% of severe asthmatics, and up to 30% of those with nasal polyposis. An important therapy for AERD is aspirin therapy after desensitization (ADAT). This is an inexpensive and proven therapy to improve the burden of sinus disease in AERD. Aspirin desensitization is the mechanism by which tolerance is induced in AERD patients. This is a 1-2 day outpatient procedure whereby increasing doses of aspirin are administered and the patients invariably experience some degree of hypersensitivity reactions. It is important to understand the effect of medications on the aspirin desensitization. It is known that the leukotriene modifier medications decrease the severity of the reactions in AERD. Other treatments such as antihistamines and the biologic agent omalizumab might have an effect on either blocking or blunting reactivity in AERD during desensitization. Dupilumab is a new respiratory biologic approved for atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic asthma and nasal polyposis. As such, it is well situated to be used for many AERD patients whose disease cannot be well controlled. The effect of dupilumab on the aspirin desensitization process and reaction is unknown and is the topic of this investigation. The effects of diet on inflammatory bowel disease is an under-studied area of research. The investigators are interested in further investigating the role that diet contributes to inflammatory bowel disease severity. The investigators will collect blood and stool samples from patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) before and after diet changes. The stool samples will be analyzed using metabolomics and microbiome analysis to determine changes after the new diet has been implemented. The investigators will then compare changes in the patient's overall disease state by measuring markers of inflammation including C-reactive protein (CRP) and fecal calprotectin to determine how this diet affects the disease state. The goal of this observational study is to learn about the utility of biopatches predicting 30-day readmissions in patients discharged from the hospital with sepsis. The main question\[s\] it aims to answer are: • Does the application of a biopatch provide data that can improve prediction of an unplanned 30-day readmission following a hospitalization for sepsis. It is believed that targeted SERCA2a enzyme replacement in HFrEF patients will correct defective intracellular Ca2+ hemostasis, resulting in improved cardiac contractile function and energetics which will, in turn, translate to improved clinical outcomes. Additionally, it is hypothesized that correcting SERCA2a dysfunction will also improve coronary blood flow through correction of the impaired endothelium-dependent nitric oxide-mediated vasodilatation observed in heart failure. The objective of this study is to test whether dietary behavior modification impacts diet quality and stool microbiome composition and metabolism using microbial whole genome sequencing, targeted metabolomics, and immune profiling. 400 adults 18-64 years old at high risk for CRC (based on past colonoscopy findings or lifestyle risk factors) will be assigned to one of two cohorts, with approximately 200 participants in each. * Cohort 1 will serve as the control group without any directed dietary modifications. * Cohort 2 participants will receive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) via 5 Telenutrition (TN) visits with a registered dietitian (RD), utilizing the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Nutrition Care Process. Stool samples will be obtained for each subject at baseline and end of study. Whole genome sequencing, metabolite analysis, and immune profiling will be performed on the samples. Demographic data, general health information, diet and lifestyle information will be collected from the subjects (all self-reported). When applicable, notes from telenutrition appointments will also be collected. Diet information will be collected using the Picture Your Plate(TM) validated food questionnaire. Read Less
