ExoLuminate is a nationally-enrolling registry study designed for earlier detection of cancer in patients at elevated risk or clinically-suspicious for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Those with elevated risk for PDAC can include individuals with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms, family history of pancreatic cancer, germline mutations in genes known to be associated with cancer, and a personal or family history of pancreatitis. Rapidly evolving virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies are being incorporated by many large-scale industries, and the medical field is no exception. One area that has gained significant attention in recent years is virtual rehabilitation which allows physical therapists to leverage state-of-the-art immersive virtual environments to uniquely address functional deficits in patients who are unresponsive to conventional treatment techniques. Advanced VR and AR technologies are now available in commercially available small-scale, mobile head-mounted displays which can be readily used in outpatient clinic settings and possibly at home. The aim of this study is to determine whether advanced VR- and AR-based physical therapy improves functional status and reduces self-reported symptoms in individuals experiencing vestibular disorders secondary to mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). Study participants will be randomized into treatment groups: 1) conventional therapy, 2) therapy performed using a large-scale VR system (the Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment or CAREN), 3) therapy performed using a mobile AR. Upon completion of treatment, groups will be compared to determine functional outcome improvements with respect to static and dynamic balance as well as reduction of vestibular symptoms. Read Less

This program of research constitutes a three-arm, randomized, placebo-controlled trial testing noninvasive brain stimulation for the treatment of anhedonic depression. This trial is part of a larger, three-site study that will be conducted at UCSD, Stanford University, and Cornell University, with the overarching goals to compare competing interventions tested at each site and to combine data that will allow for the creation of an end-to-end model of anhedonic depression. By doing this, the investigators hope to gain insight and lead to the development of brain-behavior biomarkers to identify who is best suited for the different treatment options tested at each site. An additional exploratory objective is phenotyping anhedonic depression from the acquired measures. Anhedonic patients recruited at UCSD will be randomized to one of three treatment arms to receive different forms of accelerated intermittent theta burst stimulation (aiTBS),a novel form of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) that is an FDA approved treatment for depression. These arms include: individualized accelerated iTBS (Ind-aiTBS),based on both the frequency of brain responses and electric-field (e-field) modeling of brain bioconductivity; standard accelerated iTBS (Std-aiTBS); and accelerated sham iTBS(sham). Treatment will be delivered on an accelerated schedule, over one week. Additional study sessions will occur both before and after treatment to assess for clinical, neurophysiological, and cognitive measures that will allow for both individualization of treatment and detailed assessment of the effects of the different treatment arms. This double-blind placebo-controlled pilot study seeks to investigate whether psilocybin can be safely administered to people with chronic phantom limb pain (PLP) in a supportive setting with close follow-up, and its effects on pain symptoms and other moods, attitudes, and behaviors. The investigators' primary hypotheses are that psilocybin is safe to administer in people with PLP and that it will reduce scores on measures of pain. This study will address whether cannabis affects antiretroviral therapy (ART) drug concentrations, mood, and thinking. The project will have two phases. Phase 1 is an observational study, in which 120 people will be assessed to evaluate the effects of chronic cannabis use on ART drug concentrations, mood, and thinking. In Phase 2, the study will administer cannabis (or placebo) to 40 people to examine its acute effects on ART drug concentrations. Read Less

Phase 1 study, a single dose of ZTI-01 given to pediatric subjects (under 12 years of age) who require antibiotic therapy to see what the body does to the drug (pharmacokinetics) and to compare if these effects are similar to those observed in adults at a 6g ZTI-01 dose. Study will help establish pediatric dosing in younger children by age cohort. This is a multiple-center, open-label, PK study of ZTI-01 (fosfomycin for injection) single dose scaled by allometric weight-modeling from an adult ZTI-01 dose of 6 grams. Eligible subjects must be receiving standard of care antibiotics for proven or suspected bacterial infection or for peri-operative prophylaxis surgery (in or out of hospital). Read Less

The investigators propose to study longitudinal joint and bone density changes in patients with severe Hemophilia A. Per current standard of care, most patients are on prophylactic FVIII replacement therapy intravenously several times weekly with a goal of keeping the trough \>1% FVIII. Recent phase 3 data suggest superior bleed protection with emicizumab prophylaxis every 1-2 weeks. It is the purpose of this study to longitudinally assess joint health and bone density over 3 years and to compare the effect of routine factor VIII prophylaxis with emicizumab prophylaxis. Read Less
