XLPAD is an observational study designed to evaluate the effectiveness and use of stent and non-stent based therapies among PAD patients. The study will create a registry that will include entry of procedural and clinical follow-up information into an online data collection software, REDCAP.Data available since Jan 1 2005 will be included in the registry, until 14,000 patients have been included. The primary objectives of this observational registry study are to: 1. Compare stent and non-stent based outcomes defined as a composite of symptom driven target vessel revascularization (TVR), unplanned surgical revascularization of the target limb and need for target limb amputation through 12 months post-index procedure (Primary efficacy endpoint) 2. Compare stent and non-stent based outcomes defined as a composite of causes such as: death, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, peri-procedural complications, target vessel revascularization (TVR) and unplanned surgical revascularization/amputation of the target limb through 12 months (Primary safety endpoint) 3. Compare stent and non-stent based change in walking distance, Rutherford category and/or ankle- brachial index (ABI) at 12 months compared to baseline (Primary clinical improvement endpoint) Approximately 14,000patients will be enrolled at approximately 60 sites worldwide. Enrollment in the observational study will be monitored in an effort to achieve at least 20% (and no more than 80%) of the population receiving stents as the initial treatment strategy. Follow-up visits by sites will be reported at 6 and 12 months after index procedure to collect data on treatment patterns and effectiveness, and outcomes. The follow-up procedures are not mandated by the registry protocol. Each site will be encouraged to enter follow-up information derived from clinically indicated follow-up visits. All events post-index procedure till the 7th month will be reported under the 6 month follow-up form and subsequent follow-up till the 13th month post-procedure will be entered on the 12 month follow-up form. Patient management and treatment decisions are at the discretion of the care team per routine clinical practice. The procedural aspects (including selection of stent type or non-stent based treatments) and follow-up are not mandated by the registry and will be up to the discretion of the operator and/or based upon the practice dictated by the clinical care of the patient. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is the most common nerve entrapment syndrome worldwide. There are currently no studies examining the effectiveness of corticosteroid injections in patients with normal (negative) EMG studies. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the duration of symptom improvement post corticosteroid injection in patients with negative or mild EMG studies. The Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire will be given to patients undergoing corticosteroid injections for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome to assess their response to the injection. Investigators will collect data retrospectively. The Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire (BCTQ) is administered as per standard protocol to all patients with CTS who have a negative or mild EMG study. The BCTQ assesses the patient's self-reported symptom severity and functional status. Investigators will analyze this data with respect to demographics as well as numbness in the median n. distribution, nocturnal numbness, weakness/atrophy of the thenar musculature, Tinel's sign, Phalen's test, loss of 2-point discrimination, Quick-Dash score, and grip strength score. The primary outcome will be the Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire outcome score under the different EMG conditions.The secondary outcomes will be numbness in the median n. distribution, nocturnal numbness, weakness/atrophy of the thenar musculature, Tinel's sign, Phalen's test, loss of 2-point discrimination, QuickDash score, and grip strength score. Both outcomes will be examined in patients with negative or mild EMG readings. This information will allow orthopedic physicians to gain a better understanding of the duration of symptom improvement post-corticosteroid injection, allowing them to fine tune their treatment plans for CTS patients. This study seeks to compare two methods of trapeziectomy for basilar thumb arthritis. The first is trapeziectomy with ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition, which means removing the trapezium bone and filling the void with a tendon graft. This is the most commonly used procedure and the control group. The experimental group is trapeziectomy with suture tape suspension of the 1st metacarpal to the 2nd metacarpal. Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome has been demonstrated in previous literature to be a warning sign for potential amyloidosis. One study has been performed in which patients with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome underwent tissue biopsy (either tendon sheath or transverse carpal ligament) at the time of carpal tunnel release to determine the strength of association as well as most common subtypes. However, no study has been done demonstrating whether or not patients with amyloid-positive carpal tunnel biopsy would benefit from an early referral to cardiology for a work-up of potential cardiac amyloidosis. In our study, patients with bilateral carpal tunnel symptoms who are indicated for carpal tunnel release would be identified in clinic and undergo biopsy for congo red staining at the time of surgery. All patients with positive biopsy results would be referred to cardiology. Outcomes would include the rate of amyloid positivity, common subtypes, and echocardiographic findings after cardiac referral. Read Less

A Phase 2a, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple ascending dose study in patients who are hospitalized with presumed pneumonia requiring supplemental oxygen therapy. The purpose of this study is to examine the safety, tolerability and efficacy of AV-001 Injection administration daily to the earlier of day 28 or EOT (day prior to hospital discharge). A total of 120 eligible patients (20 patients in each of cohort 1, 2 and 3 and 60 patients in cohort 4) will be recruited from up to 25 participating institutions/hospitals. Phase 1 study, a single dose of ZTI-01 given to pediatric subjects (under 12 years of age) who require antibiotic therapy to see what the body does to the drug (pharmacokinetics) and to compare if these effects are similar to those observed in adults at a 6g ZTI-01 dose. Study will help establish pediatric dosing in younger children by age cohort. This is a multiple-center, open-label, PK study of ZTI-01 (fosfomycin for injection) single dose scaled by allometric weight-modeling from an adult ZTI-01 dose of 6 grams. This pilot trial studies how well telotristat etiprate works in treating participants with well differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasm that has spread to other places in the body and monitored by carbon C 11 alpha-methyltryptophan (AMT)-emission tomography (PET). Telotristat etiprate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Studying the changes within the tumor cells via AMT-PET may help doctors better understand how tumors respond to treatment with telotristat etiprate. Read Less
