CGM for Management of Type 2 Diabetes in Pregnancy
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if continuous glucose monitoring works better than self-monitoring of blood glucose (fingersticks) to treat type 2 diabetes in pregnancy. It will also learn about all risk factors (biologic, personal, social) for maternal and infant complications in type 2 diabetes pregnancies. The main questions it aims to answer are:
1. Does continuous glucose monitoring improve infant outcomes compared to self-monitoring of blood glucose?
2. Does continuous glucose... Read More

GLP-1 Agonist Therapy in Cystic Fibrosis-Related Glucose Intolerance
Recruiting
Diabetes is a major co-morbidity in pancreatic insufficient cystic fibrosis (PI-CF) and associated with worse outcomes. While reduced β-cell mass contributes to the insulin secretory defects that characterizes cystic fibrosis-related diabetes (CFRD), other modifiable determinants appear operative in the emergence and progression of abnormal glucose tolerance towards diabetes. Identifying interventions to preserve β-cell function are crucial for delaying and potentially preventing CFRD developmen... Read More

Gastroparesis Registry 4
Recruiting
The Gastroparesis Registry 4 (GpR4) is an observational study of patients with symptoms of gastroparesis (Gp) and functional dyspepsia (FD) with either delayed or normal gastric emptying. To better understand these disorders, this registry will capture demographic, clinical, physiological, questionnaire, and patient outcome data to characterize the patients and their clinical course. Participants will complete several questionnaires, complete a nutrient drink test and have a gastric emptying stu... Read More

A Study of the Safety and Efficacy of Pancreatic Endocrine Cell Clusters Implanted Into the Omentum of Type 1 Diabetes Patients With Severe Hypoglycemia
Recruiting
This study will evaluate the safety, efficacy and durability of SR-02 administered to the omentum of patients of Type 1 diabetes with severe recurrent hypoglycemia. The study will also help establish the optimal treatment dose. Although this study is open to patients with all HLA or blood types, immunosuppression to prevent rejection will be required in this first in human study.

Registry for Stage 2 Type 1 Diabetes
Recruiting
Stage 2 Type 1 Diabates (T1D) is an early stage of T1D characterized by dysglycemia but not yet leading to clinical symptoms. Progression of the disease to Stage 3 (clinical T1D), leads to overt hyperglycemia requiring eventually exogenous insulin.
TZIELD® (teplizumab-mzwv) has been approved to delay onset of stage 3 T1D, by the United States (US) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for adults and children aged 8 years and older with Stage 2 T1D.
The purpose of this study is to collect general... Read More

A Study of Lower Radiotherapy Dose to Treat Children With CNS Germinoma
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies how well lower dose radiotherapy after chemotherapy (Carboplatin \& Etoposide) works in treating children with central nervous system (CNS) germinomas. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays, particles, or radioactive seeds to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works in a way similar to the anticancer drug cisplatin, but may be better tolerated than cisplatin. Carboplatin works by... Read More

IHERO Study: Insurance, Health and Economic Resources Online for Emerging Adults with Type 1 Diabetes
Recruiting
This research study aims to test a financial and health insurance iHERO Toolkit for young adults with type1 diabetes. The iHERO Toolkit was developed over one year with the type 1 diabetes community, The Diabetes Link organization, and experts. Now, the investigators want to understand the impact of the iHERO Toolkit on diabetes self-management, financial stress, and health insurance literacy outcomes. The investigators are doing this study because it will help to better understand how to suppor... Read More

Sleep and Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes Adolescents
Recruiting
The primary objective is to determine the cross-sectional relationship between sleep duration (as measured by 14 days of actigraphy) and glycemic control in an adolescent Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM) cohort (age 12-20y, n=67). A secondary objective is to determine if a loss-framed incentive for achieving sleep goals can increase sleep duration in 15 adolescent patients diagnosed with T2DM with insufficient sleep. Another secondary objective is to test if increasing sleep duration leads to improved gly... Read More

Low Dose Fat-Induced Insulin Resistance
Recruiting
The primary goal of this study is to determine the dose of fatty acids that acutely induces mild insulin resistance in healthy volunteers. We hypothesize that a low-dose of fatty acid infusion (Intralipid/heparin) will cause a mild insulin resistance. The dose of fatty acid infusion that reliably causes mild insulin resistance will be selected for use in future studies.

Strict Versus Permissive Thresholds for Initiation of Pharmacotherapy in Gestational Diabetes
Recruiting
The aim of our study is to compare neonatal and maternal outcomes using different thresholds for the initiation and titration of pharmacotherapy for gestational diabetes (GDM). Our goal is to compare a strict and permissive threshold. The strict threshold is defined as two abnormal values or more over a one-week period (two fasting values elevated, two of the same post prandial values elevated, or 1 fasting and 1 post prandial value elevated), whereas the permissive threshold is defined as 50% o... Strict Versus Permissive Thresholds for Initiation of Pharmacotherapy in Gestational Diabetes (START 2)
Recruiting
The aim of our study is to compare neonatal and maternal outcomes using different thresholds for the initiation and titration of pharmacotherapy for gestational diabetes (GDM). Our goal is to compare a Strict and permissive threshold. The Strict study arm target range will be 65-120 mg/dL, with time in range goal of 70%. The permissive study arm target range will be 65-140 mg/dL, with target time in range goal of 70%.
