Screening for and Responding to Food Insecurity Among Infusion Patients
Recruiting
Food insecurity impacts 1 in 8 people in the United States and 1 in 4 people receiving cancer treatment. Food insecurity is associated with poor dietary quality, adverse health conditions (e.g., Type 2 diabetes, overweight and obesity, hypertension), and worse cancer treatment outcomes. To effectively address food insecurity among people with cancer, screening and effective response programs are needed. The Food to Overcome Disparities (FOOD) program screens breast cancer patients for food inse... Read More

Emotional Cognition: Establishing Constructs and Neural-Behavioral Mechanisms in Older Adults With Depression
Recruiting
This is a cross-sectional pilot study designed to establish hot and cold cognitive functions and underlying neurocircuitry in older adults with MDD. The investigators will study 60 participants aged 21-80 years old with MDD. All participants will undergo clinical and neurocognitive assessment, and Magnetoencephalography (MEG)/Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures at one time point. The investigators will also enroll 60 demographically matched comparable, never-depressed healthy participant... Read More

Nurturing Needs Study: Parenting Food Motivated Children
Recruiting
High food motivation among children is trait-like and increases risks of unhealthy dietary intake and obesity. Scientific knowledge of how parenting can best support healthy eating habits and growth among children who are predisposed to overeating is surprisingly limited. This investigation will identify supportive food parenting approaches for obesity prevention that address the needs of highly food motivated children.

The Longitudinal Study of Stimulant Use Disorder
Recruiting
This research is a 5-year observational, longitudinal registry study with no treatment or medication provided as part of participation. Individuals with current or lifetime stimulant use disorder, in addition to healthy control individuals, may be eligible to participate in this study. A variety of assessments and tasks including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Electroencephalography (EEG), blood draws, urine drug screens, and both self-report and clinician-rated assessments will be used to as... A Study of TAK-279 in Adults With or Without Liver Damage
Recruiting
The main aim of this study is to find out how the body processes 1 dose of TAK-279 (pharmacokinetics) in participants with liver problems compared to participants without liver problems. Other aims are to check for side effects from TAK-279 and to learn how well participants tolerate 1 dose of TAK-279. The participants will need to stay at the clinic for 11 days.

Baylor Infant and Toddler Biomarker of Nutrition Study
Recruiting
Young children rely on their foods and drinks for the nutrients they need to grow, like energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals. In addition to nutrients, there are substances in fruits, vegetables, milk and formula, called phytochemicals, that can support health. While researchers know more about the role of phytochemicals in adult health, researchers know surprisingly little about how phytochemicals can support health in young children. One group of phytochemicals are called the carotenoids. C... Read More
