The purpose of the study was to evaluate immune lot consistency of Meningococcal Polysaccharide (Serogroups A, C, Y and W) Tetanus Toxoid (MenACYW) Conjugate vaccine and the immune non-inferiority compared to the licensed vaccine Menactra®, and describe the safety and additional immunogenicity of these study vaccines in adolescents and adults 10 to 55 years of age in the United States (US). Primary Objectives: * To demonstrate the immune lot consistency of the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of a single dose of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine with respect to serum bactericidal assay using human complement (hSBA) geometric mean titers (GMTs). * To demonstrate the non-inferiority of the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of a single dose of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine (pooled Lots 1 to 3) compared to those observed following the administration of a single dose of Menactra®. Secondary Objective: * To demonstrate the non-inferiority of the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of a single dose of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine (pooled Lots 1 to 3) compared to those observed following the administration of a single dose of Menactra® in the adult population (18 to 55 years old). * To demonstrate the non-inferiority of the antibody responses to meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of a single dose of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine (pooled Lots 1 to 3) compared to those observed following the administration of a single dose of Menactra® in the adolescent population (10 to 17 years old). * To compare the hSBA vaccine seroresponses of meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W for each of 3 lots of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine 30 days (+14 days) after vaccination. * To compare the hSBA antibody GMTs of meningococcal serogroups A, C, Y, and W following the administration of MenACYW Conjugate vaccine to those observed following the administration of Menactra®. HIV vaccines may help the immune systems of HIV infected patients better control the virus. The goal of this study is to determine whether patients on anti-HIV medications can stop taking those medications if they receive an HIV vaccine. While taking anti-HIV medications, participants will receive either an HIV vaccine or a placebo. Participants will then stop taking their anti-HIV medications and the study will compare the viral loads of participants who received the vaccine with the viral loads of participants who received the placebo. Primary study hypotheses: 1)The Week 12 and Week 16 post-ART interruption geometric mean HIV-1 RNA levels will be lower among participants who had received MRK Ad5 vaccine prior to ART interruption than among participants who received placebo; 2) the time averaged area under the curve of the log10 HIV-1 RNA copies/ml versus day function in the 16 week post-ART interruption step will be lower among participants who received the MRK Ad5 vaccine prior to ART interruption than among participants who receive placebo. Men who have sex with men (MSM) have an increased risk of developing anal human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, which can be a risk factor for anal cancer. HIV-infected women are also at risk of anal cancer. This study will evaluate the effectiveness of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved quadrivalent HPV vaccine, Gardasil, at preventing anal HPV infection in HIV-infected MSM and HIV-infected women. The purpose of this study is to determine if 2 doses of Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) followed by 1 dose of Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccine (PPV) in HIV-infected children on anti-HIV therapy is helpful and safe in fighting pneumococcal infections in this group of children. This study will also look at the protection provided by childhood vaccination against measles, pertussis, and hepatitis B virus. Pneumococcal infections are the most common AIDS-related infection in HIV-infected children. PCV may help reduce the chances of HIV-infected children getting pneumococcal infections. This study will look at whether pneumococcal vaccines are safe and effective in HIV-infected children receiving HAART. It will look at whether HIV-infected children are protected by childhood vaccines received previously and if more doses are safe and improve protection. Read Less

To assess whether HIV-infected infants who receive a heptavalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine have more local reactions at the site of injection and systemic reactions than placebo subjects. To assess whether this vaccine is more immunogenic than placebo following the third vaccination. Children with HIV infection are at increased risk for invasive pneumococcal infection, particularly bacteremia. A large proportion of pneumococcal disease is caused by a limited number of serotypes. The maximum number of pneumococcal serotypes that can be included in a new conjugate vaccine is felt to be limited by the amount of carrier protein. A heptavalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine has been developed that consists of pneumococcal capsular saccharides from serotypes 4, 6B, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F, and 23F bound to a diphtheria toxin mutant carrier protein. The work done in this trial builds off of the work previously conducted by this same research group in clinicaltrials.gov ID: NCT03057379. Due to some changes in study design, protocol, and cohort of interest, a new registration was warranted. The overarching goal of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability of utilizing statewide immunization information systems (IISs) to conduct centralized reminder recall (R/R) to improve human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates among adolescents 11-14 years of age. The latest recommendations from the ACIP, as of February 2017, modified the vaccination schedule for the HPV series for eligible adolescents ages 11-14. Adolescents who receive dose #1 between the ages of 11 and 14 are now eligible for their second and final dose 6-12 months after their initial dose. Despite U.S. guidelines for vaccinating all adolescents starting at age 11 with the HPV vaccine, in 2012 only 53% of 13-17 year old females had \>1 dose and 35% had 3 doses; 21% of teen males had a vaccination. Modeling studies predict marked reduction in HPV associated cancers and in disparities in these cancers if high HPV vaccination rates can be achieved. With this new dosing schedule for adolescents, the research team proposes to conduct a randomized control trial (RCT) utilizing the capabilities of the State Immunization Information System (IIS), and create a HPV-specific R/R autodialer and text message to be delivered to the parents of patients ages 11-14 of randomly selected practices within New York State (excluding NYC). Upon conclusion of this trial, researchers will develop a toolkit for dissemination so that other state IIS systems may replicate these centralized reminder recall procedures. Read Less
