The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of lower doses of busulfan and the elimination of cyclosporine will further reduce transplant-related side effects for patients with Fanconi Anemia (FA). Patients will undergo a transplant utilizing mis-matched related or matched unrelated donors following a preparative regimen of busulfan, fludarabine, anti-thymocyte globulin and cyclophosphamide. Major depressive disorder (MDD; depression) is a mood disorder that causes a continued feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It is a common and serious illness that can cause both emotional and physical symptoms such as feelings of sadness, irritability, not being able to focus on activities, tiredness, changes in eating habits, and aches and pains. The main goal of the study is to evaluate how safe and effective fosigotifator is in treating MDD. Fosigotifator (ABBV-CLS-7262) is a new treatment being developed for adult patients with depression. This study is double-blinded, which means that neither the patients nor the study doctors know who is given fosigotifator and who is given placebo. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups to receive fosigatofator or placebo. There is 1 in 2 chance that participants will receive placebo. Approximately 106 adult participants with MDD will be enrolled in approximately 15 sites across the world. Participants will receive oral fosigotifator or matching placebo. Duration of the study is approximately 144 days. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular weekly visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. This descriptive study aims to evaluate the experience of adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma receiving standard of care isatuximab-irfc through collection of quantitative, qualitative and wearable data. Fifty adults with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma receiving standard of care isatuximab-irfc will be enrolled across 2 sites, The University of California San Francisco and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Consented participants will be enrolled in a 3-month digital health coaching program through which electronic patient reported outcomes and wearable activity data will be collected. Outcomes include treatment experience, quality of life, financial toxicity, treatment adherence, symptom burden and health self-efficacy. These will be captured by patient reported outcome measures including the Patient's Qualitative Assessment of Treatment- Real World (PQAT-RW), Patient Global Impression of Change/Severity (PGIC/S), European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC-QLQ-C30), Quality of Life Questionnaire Multiple Myeloma (QLQ-MY20), and the European QoL-5 Dimensions (EQ5D), Cancer Behavior Inventory-Brief Form (CBI-B), Center for Adherence Support Evaluation (CASE) Medication Adherence Index, Comprehensive Score for Financial Toxicity (COST) Instrument. Clinical data, including treatment history, healthcare utilization, and co-morbidities, as well as demographic data will be collected via the electronic health record from each clinical site. This data will be complemented by qualitative data from a selected cohort of study participants with a focus on treatment experience ranging from infusion burden, toxicity management, to overall quality of life. Evaluation of this data in combination will be used to better understand the treatment experience of individuals on standard of care isatuximab-irfc specifically, and with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma generally, contributing to an existing gap in the literature regarding patient reported outcomes from diverse data sources. Outcomes will be analyzed with attention to the relationship between social determinants of health, including race, ethnicity, and geographic location, and treatment experience as reflected in both the qualitative and quantitative data. BOOST3 is a randomized clinical trial to determine the comparative effectiveness of two strategies for monitoring and treating patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the intensive care unit (ICU). The study will determine the safety and efficacy of a strategy guided by treatment goals based on both intracranial pressure (ICP) and brain tissue oxygen (PbtO2) as compared to a strategy guided by treatment goals based on ICP monitoring alone. Both of these alternative strategies are used in standard care. It is unknown if one is more effective than the other. In both strategies the monitoring and goals help doctors adjust treatments including the kinds and doses of medications and the amount of intravenous fluids given, ventilator (breathing machine) settings, need for blood transfusions, and other medical care. The results of this study will help doctors discover if one of these methods is more safe and effective. Read Less

This international multi-center registry is used to collect existing information and outcomes for patients undergoing an operation for treatment of injuries to the brain including the blockage of blood flow to an area of the brain, an abnormal ballooning of an artery, abnormal tangling of blood vessels, abnormal formation of blood vessels, tearing of vein, and bleeding in the brain. This information is used to help predict outcomes that undergo an operation for treatment of the above-listed brain injuries. The goal of this interventional study is to determine the amount of skin C. acnes reduction with increased pressure during the chlorhexidine gluconate, brand name ChloraPrep, application. The main question it aims to answer is: Does changing the pressure applied during the ChloraPrep application impact the amount of C. acnes bacteria on the skin after one hour? Researchers will compare ChloraPrep applied at a pressure similar to a gentle wipe to ChloraPrep applied at a pressure similar to a massage to see if wash the amount of C. acnes on the skin after one hour is different. Participants will have one shoulder washed with ChloraPrep using pressure meant to impact the dermal layer, similar to a gentle wipe, and the other shoulder washed with ChloraPrep using pressure meant to impact the subdermal layer, similar to a massage. Participants will have swabs taken of their skin before the ChloraPrep application and again one hour after application to look for the amount of C. acnes on the skin. Read Less
