Reduced Intensity Haploidentical Transplantation for the Treatment of Primary or Secondary Myelofibrosis
Recruiting
This initial cohort of this phase II trial studied the outcomes of using a JAK inhibitor prior to reduced intensity haploidentical (Haplo) transplantation for the treatment of primary or secondary myelofibrosis (MF). The primary risk of using Haplo HCT in patients with MF is graft failure. In the first cohort, all patients engrafted. There were no instances of graft failure. However, a large number of patients did have graft versus host disease as a complication of their transplant. JAK inhibito... Read More

Neuroblastoma Biology Study
Recruiting
Medical scientists want to find better ways to treat neuroblastoma and to find ways to prevent the tumor from growing back. To do this, they need more information about the characteristics of neuroblastoma cells. Therefore, they want to study samples of neuroblastoma tissues and neuroblastoma and normal cells in the blood and bone marrow that may be related to the growth of neuroblastoma cells. Doctors and other medical scientists also want to find better ways to detect and measure neuroblastoma... Read More

Opioid and Pain Treatment in Indigenous Communities (OPTIC) Trial
Recruiting
The present study seeks to examine the implementation process of culturally tailoring screening and brief intervention for both chronic pain and opioid misuse/opioid use disorder in three American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) serving clinics. The investigators also will assess staff perspectives on this implementation as well as a survey to understand clients at these sites who have chronic pain and opioid misuse/opioid use disorder.

Real-world Experiences of Alcohol and Cognitions Over Time
Recruiting
The goal of this clinical trial is to examine how alcohol affects young adults' attention in both laboratory and real-world settings through phone-based cognitive tasks. The main questions this trial is designed to answer are: * How well do the phone-based cognitive tasks capture alcohol's effects on attention? * Does the effect of alcohol on attention contribute to risk-taking? Participants will complete cognitive tasks to assess attention before and after consuming a standard amount of alcoh... Read More

MDMA-Assisted Therapy for Pathological Narcissism
Recruiting
This open-label, proof-of-concept pilot study will assess the efficacy and safety of midomafetamine (MDMA) - assisted therapy (AT) for participants diagnosed with pathological narcissism. As all participants will be allocated to a single group assignment, there will be no blinding, randomization, or comparator treatment. Participants will have a screening visit, a preparation period of 3 visits, a treatment period receiving MDMA-AT at 3 monthly visits, a 6 month follow up period coming in at one... Read More

Standardizing Treatments for Pulmonary Exacerbations - Aminoglycoside Study
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to look at pulmonary exacerbations in people with cystic fibrosis (CF) that need to be treated with antibiotics given through a tube inserted into a vein (intravenous or IV). A pulmonary exacerbation is a worsening of respiratory symptoms in people with CF that needs medical intervention. Both doctors and CF patients are trying to understand the best way to treat pulmonary exacerbations. This study is trying to answer the following questions about treating a pulmonar... Read More

High-Risk Veteran Initiative
Recruiting
Veterans at high-risk for hospitalization, including those with complex care needs, represent a large population of VHA patients who often do not receive evidence-based primary care practices that would help them avoid the hospital and improve their health. The high-RIsk VETerans (RIVET) Program will implement evidence-based practices that can support VHA Primary Care teams to deliver more comprehensive and patient-centered care, better strategies to manage medications, and avoid unnecessary hos... Recruiting
Patients are enrolled to screening (Reg Step 1) prior to or after ASCT but prior to Reg Step 2. Patients are followed until they will begin Maintenance and then registered to Reg Step 2 (first randomization). Patients are randomized between Lenalidomide for 2 years and Lenalidomide + Daratumumab/rHuPH20. After 2 years of Maintenance, MRD is assessed to guide further therapy. MRD-positive patients will continue with the assigned treatment. MRD-negative patients will be further randomized (Reg Ste... Read More
