The purpose of this study in patients undergoing routine care epidural spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is to determine 1) whether SCS reduces arterial blood pressure (BP) in patients which chronic low back pain and hypertension, 2) whether higher baseline BP (i.e., hypertension) predicts reductions in pain following SCS, and finally 3) whether different SCS waveforms elicits stimulus-evoked compound action potentials (ECAPs) in spinal cord and at the cortex (electroencephalography, and magnetoenchphalography). Early Intervention to Promote Cardiovascular Health of Mothers and Children (ENRICH) is a cluster randomized clinical trial, funded by the National Heart Lung \& Blood Institute. The study is designed to test the effectiveness of home visiting intervention to promote cardiovascular health and reduce disparities in maternal and early childhood cardiovascular health. Sites, in partnership with evidence-based home visiting programs, are recruiting 6400 participants in total (i.e., 3200 parent-dyads which includes 3200 parents and 3200 children) from diverse community settings with a high burden of cardiovascular disease risk factors. This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Mobility refers to a person's purposeful movement through the environment from one place to another and can be conceptualized as a continuum from bed bound (immobility) on one extreme to making excursions to distant locations on the other extreme. Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is a chronic, progressive optic neuropathy that can lead to gradual loss of vision in the peripheral field and central vision. Older adults with POAG have an increased risk for motor vehicle collisions and falls. Moreover, existing studies suggest that patients with POAG exhibit more postural sway while standing as measured by a balance platform and also tend to walk more slowly than those who are normally sighted and free of ocular disease. While these disturbances likely influence mobility, there has been little research directly assessing the impact of POAG on mobility. This study will assess the impact of POAG on life space (one aspect of mobility) and will determine whether difficulties with life space are associated with difficulties experienced under conditions of dim lighting. The proposed research effort will: The purpose of this study is as follows: 1. Test the effectiveness of the Minds and Mentors Program in a group treatment trial in which individuals using medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) will be randomized in blocks of five to receive either the Minds and Mentors Program (n=120) or Twelve Step Facilitation (n=120). 2. Determine whether the MiMP: a) improves adherence to MOUD b) reduces the rate of relapse and cravings c) decreases self-reported anxiety, stress, and depression and d) reduces cortisol levels and cortisol reactivity to drug cues. 3. Examine whether pre-intervention cortisol reactivity is predictive of relapse outcomes, and/ or reductions in cortisol reactivity over the course of intervention mediate relapse outcomes. Read Less

COMPRENDO (ChildhOod Malignancy Peer Research NavigatiOn) is a multi-site randomized clinical trial (RCT) that uses a Hybrid Type 1 design, to test the effects of a clinical intervention on patient-level outcomes, while exploring multilevel implementation factors that can inform real-world setting implementation. This study will test the impact of COMPRENDO, a peer-navigation intervention, vs. usual care on accrual to childhood cancer therapeutic clinical trials and parental informed consent outcomes. COMPRENDO will be delivered by trained peer navigators in 4 visits. A mixed methods (surveys, individual interviews) implementation evaluation will examine implementation factors that can inform the use of peer navigation in clinical practice, integrating data from clinicians, navigators, administrators, and parents pre and post the RCT. This research study is exploring the use of genomic sequencing in the newborn period to screen healthy babies for current and future health risks. The study will enroll a diverse cohort of 500 healthy infants and their parents from Boston, MA; New York City, NY; and Birmingham, AL. A small blood sample will be collected from each infant, and whole genome sequencing will be performed in 1/2 of the cohort following a randomized controlled trial design. 3 months later, the randomization status and sequencing results will be shared with parents and pediatricians. Investigators will study the medical, behavioral, and economic outcomes of genomic sequencing to better understand how this technology can be implemented in outpatient primary care settings. The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety, extent of the side effects, and immune responses of the study vaccine (called variant-adapted BNT162b2 RNA-based vaccine) in healthy children. The trial is divided into 5 individual studies or substudies based on age group and prior history of COVID-19 vaccinations. All participants in each of the 5 sub-studies will receive study vaccine as a shot depending on what group they are in. * Substudy A design: Phase 1 includes participants 6 months through less than 4 years 3 months of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naïve) and will receive 3 doses of study vaccine as their initial series, followed by a fourth dose of study vaccine. Phase 2/3 includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naive) and will receive 1, 2, or 3 doses of study vaccine, depending on what group they are in. * Substudy B design: includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have either received 2 or 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their third or fourth dose. * Substudy C design: Phase 1 includes participants 6 months through less than 5 years of age who have received 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their fourth dose. * Substudy D design: includes participants 5 through less than12 years of age who have received 2 or 3 prior doses of BNT162b2 and will receive study vaccine as their third or fourth dose. * Substudy E design: includes participants 2 through less than 12 years of age who have not received a previous coronavirus vaccination (COVID-19 vaccine naive) and will receive a single dose of study vaccine.
