This Phase 1/2, open-label, multicenter study is conducted in patients with previously treated selected solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), small cell lung cancer (SCLC), high-grade neuroendocrine cancer of any primary site, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and tumors with L-MYC or N-MYC amplification. Patients receive escalating doses of a GSPT1 molecular glue degrader MRT-2359 to determine safety, tolerability, maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of MRT-2359. Once the MTD and/or RP2D is identified, additional patients enroll to Phase 2 study, which includes molecular biomarkers stratification or selection, namely expression or amplification of L-MYC and N-MYC genes, hormone receptor positive (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer and prostate cancer. This phase II trial studies the best approach to combine chemotherapy and radiation therapy (RT) based on the patient's response to induction chemotherapy in patients with non-germinomatous germ cell tumors (NGGCT) that have not spread to other parts of the brain or body (localized). This study has 2 goals: 1) optimizing radiation for patients who respond well to induction chemotherapy to diminish spinal cord relapses, 2) utilizing higher dose chemotherapy followed by conventional RT in patients who did not respond to induction chemotherapy. Chemotherapy drugs, such as carboplatin, etoposide, ifosfamide, and thiotepa, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays or high-energy protons to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Studies have shown that patients with newly-diagnosed localized NGGCT, whose disease responds well to chemotherapy before receiving radiation therapy, are more likely to be free of the disease for a longer time than are patients for whom the chemotherapy does not efficiently eliminate or reduce the size of the tumor. The purpose of this study is to see how well the tumors respond to induction chemotherapy to decide what treatment to give next. Some patients will be given RT to the spine and a portion of the brain. Others will be given high dose chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant before RT to the whole brain and spine. Giving treatment based on the response to induction chemotherapy may lower the side effects of radiation in some patients and adjust the therapy to a more efficient one for other patients with localized NGGCT. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in participants from previous Merck pembrolizumab-based parent studies who transition into this extension study. This study will consist of three phases: 1) First Course Phase, 2) Survival Follow-up Phase or 3) Second Course Phase. Each participant will transition to this extension study in one of the following three phases, depending on the study phase they were in at the completion of the parent study. Participants who were in the First Course Phase of study treatment with pembrolizumab or lenvatinib in their parent study will enter the First Course Phase of this study and complete up to 35 doses or more every 3 weeks (Q3W) or 17 doses or more every 6 weeks (Q6W) of study treatment with pembrolizumab or a pembrolizumab-based combination or lenvatinib according to arm assignment. Participants who were in the Follow-up Phase in the parent study (post-treatment or Survival Follow-up Phase) will enter the Survival Follow-up Phase of this study. Participants who were in the Second Course Phase in their parent study will enter Second Course Phase of this study and complete up to 17 doses Q3W or 8 doses Q6W of study treatment with pembrolizumab or a pembrolizumab-based combination according to arm assignment. Any participant originating from a parent trial where crossover to pembrolizumab was permitted upon disease progression may be eligible for 35 doses as Q3W or 17 doses Q6W of pembrolizumab (approximately 2 years), if they progress while on the control arm and pembrolizumab is approved for the indication in the country where the potential eligible crossover participant is being evaluated. This study is open to adults between 18 and 80 years of age. People with a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 42 kg/m2 can take part. This study includes people with mild, moderate, and severe liver problems, and people without liver problems as a matching control. The purpose of this study is to find out how mild, moderate, and severe liver problems affect how the body handles a medicine called BI 1584862. Participants take BI 1584862 once. Participants with liver problems are treated in a step-by-step approach with a few days in between for the doctors to review the data and to make sure the participants can tolerate the treatment. Participants may continue their regular treatment for their liver problems during the study. Participants are in the study for about 5 weeks. During this time, they visit the study site 3 times. This also includes an overnight stay for 4 nights. During study visits, the doctors regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. This randomized clinical trial aims to evaluate the effects of consuming two different doses of pulses (1.5 cups/week or 3 cups/week) in individuals with baseline intake below 1.5 cups/week, compared to a control group receiving standard nutrition education based on the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) My Plate guidelines. The main question the Pulses study aims to answer is: • What is the effect of increasing pulse consumption (in a dose-response manner) on specific cardiometabolic risk factors, including LDL-C, CRP, HBA1C, and blood pressure compared to standard nutrition education? For secondary outcomes, this study aims to answer the following: • Does increased pulse consumption improve the following: overall serum lipid profile (Total cholesterol (TC), HDL-C, Triglycerides (TG), diet quality (measured by the Healthy Eating Index), and participants self-reported satisfaction with life (SWLS) and Satisfaction with Food-related Life (SWFoL). All participants will attend biweekly classes and food demonstrations. The pulses groups will learn to prepare various pulse-based recipes, while the control group will receive guidance on preparing healthy meals following the USDA MyPlate recommendations. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the efficacy of a standard intradialytic exercise program (control group) to an individualized, patient-centered, "Move-More" physical activity intervention (intervention group) in hemodialysis (HD) patients. Exercise programs often fail to yield robust benefits for many HD patients, in part because the type and volume of exercise prescribed is inappropriate for a variety of reasons, and the benefits from these studies are often disappointing, as they are characterized by poor adherence, high dropout rates, and modest effects on physical function, body composition, cardiovascular disease risk, and other outcomes related to quality of life (QOL). To address this, the investigators have designed a novel physical activity intervention "Move More" that is designed to overcome many of the barriers to increasing physical activity in this population. This study aims to compare the efficacy of a standard intradialytic exercise program (control group) to an individualized, patient-centered, "Move-More" physical activity intervention (intervention group) in HD patients. The investigators primary hypothesis is that patients randomized to the Move More intervention will increase their physical activity levels more than those in the intradialytic exercise group. The main question it aims to answer is: • Does "Move More" increase the physical activity levels (minutes) measured through weekly minutes of physical activity and the LoPAQ questionnaire more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? For secondary outcomes this study aims to answer the following: * Does "Move More" improve the physical function of hemodialysis patients assessed by the short physical performance battery (SPBB) more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" decrease fatigue assess by the SONG-HD survey more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" decrease symptoms of depression assessed by PROMIS Depression Short Form 8a more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" increase the amount of exercise measured through a point system more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program? * Does "Move More" improve blood pressure (BP) more than those in the standard intradialytic exercise program?
