Talazoparib With Androgen Deprivation Therapy and Abiraterone for the Treatment of Castration Sensitive Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
This phase II trial studies the effect of talazoparib with androgen deprivation therapy and abiraterone in treating castration sensitive prostate cancer patients. Talazoparib is an inhibitor of PARP, an enzyme that helps repair deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) when it becomes damaged. Blocking PARP may help keep tumor cells from repairing their damaged DNA, causing them to die. PARP inhibitors are a type of targeted therapy. Androgen can cause the growth of prostate tumor cells. Randomized Phase II Trial of Targeted Radiation With no Castration for Mcrpc
Recruiting
This trial tests if the combination of comprehensive metastasis directed therapy delivered by a precision form of external beam radiotherapy (stereotactic ablative radiotherapy), combined with PSMA targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy and cessation of castration, and then followed by testosterone replacement, is an effective treatment for metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer.
All patients will be treated with stereotactic ablative radiotherapy and PSMA targeted radiopharmaceutical th... Read More

Testing Whether the Addition of Carboplatin Chemotherapy to Cabazitaxel Chemotherapy Will Improve Outcomes Compared to Cabazitaxel Alone in People With Castrate-Resistant Prostate Cancer That Has Spread Beyond the Prostate to Other Parts of the Body
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effect of adding carboplatin to the standard of care chemotherapy drug cabazitaxel versus cabazitaxel alone in treating prostate cancer that keeps growing even when the amount of testosterone in the body is reduced to very low levels (castrate-resistant) and that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. Carboplatin works by kill... Read More
