This phase II trial studies the effect of talazoparib with androgen deprivation therapy and abiraterone in treating castration sensitive prostate cancer patients. Talazoparib is an inhibitor of PARP, an enzyme that helps repair deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) when it becomes damaged. Blocking PARP may help keep tumor cells from repairing their damaged DNA, causing them to die. PARP inhibitors are a type of targeted therapy. Androgen can cause the growth of prostate tumor cells. Degarelix, leuprolide acetate, bicalutamide, goserelin acetate, and abiraterone lowers the amount of androgen made by the body. This may help stop the growth of tumor cells that need androgen to grow. While there has been a significant increase in the uptake of antiretroviral therapy among women living with HIV (WLHIV) in many low- and-middle income countries (LMICs), the coverage of cervical cancer screening and treatment (CCST) among WLHIV remains low. This study aims to leverage the available infrastructure for HIV care and treatment programs in Nigeria to integrate cervical cancer screening and treatment and conduct a cluster randomized, hybrid type III trial design to assess the comparative effectiveness of a Core set of implementation strategies versus a Core+ (enhanced) set of implementation strategies to implement cervical cancer screening, onsite treatment, referral and referral completion, treatment, and retention in care among WLHIV. The optimal treatment for Stage I or Stage IIA non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains controversial. Radiographic surveillance alone has been recommended for stage I and stage IIA patients after the tumor is removed surgically from the lung, and this standard has been based on the fact that no previous clinical trial has demonstrated a benefit for Stage I or Stage IIA NSCLC patients who receive post-operative chemotherapy. These patients, however, have a substantial risk of death within five years after operation, ranging from approximately 30% to 45%, largely due to metastatic disease that is present immediately after surgery but that is undetectable by conventional methods. Some leading organizations therefore currently recommend post-operative chemotherapy as an alternative standard of care in Stage I or Stage IIA NSCLC patients who are considered to be at particularly high-risk. Up until now, however, there has not been a well-validated means to identify stage I and stage IIA NSCLC patients at high risk of death within five years after operation. A new prognostic tool, a 14-Gene Prognostic Assay, which has been validated and definitively demonstrated in large scale studies to identify intermediate and high-risk stage I or Stage IIA patients with non-squamous NSCLC, is now available to all clinicians through a CLIA-certified laboratory.
