This phase III trial compares the effect of giving triptorelin vs no triptorelin in preventing ovarian damage in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer receiving chemotherapy with an alkylating agents. Alkylating agents are part of standard chemotherapy, but may cause damage to the ovaries. If the ovaries are not working well or completely shut down, then it will be difficult or impossible to get pregnant in the future. Triptorelin works by blocking certain hormones and causing the ovaries to slow down or pause normal activity. The triptorelin used in this study stays active in the body for 24 weeks or about 6 months after a dose is given. After triptorelin is cleared from the body, the ovaries resume normal activities. Adding triptorelin before the start of chemotherapy treatment may reduce the chances of damage to the ovaries. Read Less

This research study will test the effectiveness of a culturally grounded parenting intervention called Parenting in 2 Worlds (P2W). This intervention is designed for American Indian / Alaska Native (AI) parents/guardians of adolescents who reside in urban areas. This will be a multi-regional effectiveness trial across four regions: Northeast (Buffalo/Niagara), Midwest (St. Paul/Minneapolis), Mountain (Denver), and Southwest (Phoenix). There are four specific aims. First, this study will test the effectiveness of Parenting in Two Worlds (P2W) as compared to an informational family health intervention, Healthy Families in 2 Worlds (HF2W), in improving parenting and family functioning. Second, this study will test if the relative effectiveness of P2W, compared to HF2W, varies by parent's/guardian's level of socioeconomic vulnerability, experiences of historical loss, or AI cultural identity. Third, this study will examine if P2W can reduce adolescent (ages 12 - 17) risky health behaviors including substance use, depressive symptoms, suicidality, and risky sexual behaviors. Fourth, this study will examine whether positive changes in parenting and family functioning that result from P2W lead to positive changes in adolescent's health behaviors. Read Less

The goal of this clinical trial is to compare the number of catheter-free days (CFD) and the rate and severity of any dialysis access-related infections between the ATEV and AVF groups over 12 months in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) needing hemodialysis (HD). Participants will be stratified by location of the vascular access (forearm versus upper arm) and by type of AVF creation procedure planned by the surgeon at randomization (1-stage AVF versus 2-stage AVF). This screening and multi-sub-study randomized phase II/III trial will establish a method for genomic screening of similar large cancer populations followed by assigning and accruing simultaneously to a multi-sub-study hybrid Master Protocol (Lung-MAP). The type of cancer trait (biomarker) will determine to which sub-study, within this protocol, a participant will be assigned to compare new targeted cancer therapy, designed to block the growth and spread of cancer, or combinations to standard of care therapy with the ultimate goal of being able to approve new targeted therapies in this setting. This is a multicenter, open-label, Phase 1 study. The study will enroll subjects with advanced solid tumors. It consists of three parts. Part 1 is dose-escalation part. In part 1, the safety and tolerability of YL211 in patients with selected advanced solid tumors will be evaluated and the MTD and RED will be determined. Part 2 is backfill enrollment part. We will further estimate the safety and efficacy of YL211 in patients with selected adcance tumor to select the RED(s) of YL211. Part 3 is dose-expansion part. In this part, we will further evaluate the safety and efficacy of YL211 at the MTD/RED(s) in patients with selected advanced solid tumors YL211 will be administered intravenously (IV) until criteria of treatment discontinuation are met. COVID-19 can trigger a dysregulated immune response, and previous studies have shown that immune modulation can improve outcomes in hospitalized patients. This trial is designed to determine whether intensification of immune modulation early in the course of the disease (while patients are on low flow oxygen) with abatacept (active arm) combined with standard of care (SOC) improves recovery as compared with placebo + SOC (placebo arm). For both groups, intensification of immunomodulation will be provided as part of SOC in case of signs of disease progression (patient requires high flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) or more support) and/or if the patient has rapidly increasing oxygen requirement. Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when ABBV-400 is given to adult participants to treat advanced solid tumors. ABBV-400 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Study doctors put the participants in groups called cohorts. Each cohort receives ABBV-400 alone (monotherapy) followed by a safety follow-up period. Approximately 260 adult participants with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), biliary tract cancers (BTC), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), hormone receptor+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-) breast cancer (hormone receptor-positive \[HR+\]/HER2-breast cancer \[BC\]), head and neck squamous-cell-carcinoma (HNSCC), Platinum Resistant High Grade Epithelial Ovarian Cancer (PROC)/primary peritoneal/fallopian tube cancer, or advanced solid tumors, will be enrolled in the study in approximately 54 sites worldwide. In the each cohorts, participants with the following advanced solid tumor indications: HCC, PDAC, BTC, ESCC, TNBC, HR+/HER2-BC, HNSCC, and PROC/primary peritoneal/fallopian tube cancer will receive intravenous (IV) ABBV-400 monotherapy for up to 2 years during and up to the treatment period with an additional safety follow-up period of up to 2 years. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic).
