Endometriosis is a complex, heterogeneous disease that may present inconsistently across women. Using disease-specific biomarkers and advanced biostatistics, DotLab is developing a biomarker test to confirm the presence of endometriosis.This is a multi-center, prospective, observational, minimal risk study in women undergoing laparoscopy, laparotomy or other pelvic surgical procedure for endometriosis, infertility or another benign gynecological indication. This is a multicenter, open-label study conducted in two phases: Phase 1 consisting of a CGX1321 Single Agent Dose Escalation Phase in solid tumors, CGX1321 Single Agent Dose Expansion Phase in GI tumors and Roll-over Cohort of CGX1321 and pembrolizumab in subjects who have progressed on single agent CGX1321 and Phase 1b consisting of CGX1321 in combination with pembrolizumab in colorectal tumors and CGX1321 in combination with encorafenib + cetuximab in BRAFV600E mutated colorectal tumors. Participants include persons receiving buprenorphine treatment and Recovery Guide counseling in a Federally Qualified Health Center or buprenorphine treatment by telemedicine and Recovery Guide counseling in a church or faith-based community organization. Participants are interviewed at the outset of treatment, after 4 to 6 weeks, and then at 10 to 12 weeks of treatment. Opioid Use Disorders (OUD) cause significant burden to individuals, families, and the society. Our product - Computerized Chemosensory-Based Orbitofrontal Cortex Training (CBOT) - offers a cost-saving, home-based, user-friendly brain stimulation system that increased 6-month treatment retention of OUDs in a pilot study; and also, acutely reduced opioid withdrawal severity and negative affect during induction into opioid maintenance therapy. Strokes often cause a loss of communication ability, referred to as aphasia, as well as cognitive difficulties. Each stroke survivor has a unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses in communication and cognition, and a unique course of recovery. The BUILD study aims to understand the brain basis of these individual differences in stroke outcome. Participants with stroke as well as controls matched in age, educational background, race, and sex are examined using a combination of standardized and in-house tests of language and cognition to provide a detailed profile of strengths and weaknesses. Each participant will have between three and six sessions, including an MRI to measure details of the structure, function, and connections in the brain. The data are analyzed to test how patterns in the stroke lesion explain the patterns of communication and cognitive difficulties, and how patterns in the uninjured parts of the brain explain resilience and recovery from the stroke. Ultimately, we hope that BUILD will guide us toward new targets for brain stimulation treatments or other biologically based treatments that improve language and cognitive abilities after stroke. PURSUIT: Prospective US Radiofrequency SUI Trial (VI-17-06) is a prospective, randomized, sham controlled, double blind study in premenopausal women with stress urinary incontinence. The study will be conducted in 390 subjects, randomized 2:1 with active or sham treatment. Study duration is 12 months post treatment. The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy of the Viveve treatment, SUI protocol, in improving mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence (SUI), assessed using the 1-hour Pad Weight Test for up to 12 months post-treatment. GMG ArcData will create a mobile-based application to improve communications and data exchange among patients and navigators involved in new pancreas surgery oncology episodes of care. Functionality will align with care processes using smartphone and the EHR patient portal. GMG will apply user-centered design theory and behavioral psychology approaches to co-design, develop, and test usability of features that optimize patient navigators-patient encounters on scheduling issues, nutrition guidance, pain management, wellbeing assessments, and activity tracking. Evaluation endpoints will reflect how the application improves the efficiency of workflows and lessens cognitive burden. Study will assess how patients and navigators perceive the tool's ability to provide more control and easier access to information about surgical care. The key project innovations are based on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)-based engineering standards that enable interoperability among digital health platforms, apply 'recommender' functions based on similar patients' experiences, and exploit microeducation tools to enhance patient understanding about their surgical care. The research team has partnered with MedStar Health and Georgetown University Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center to co-design the software and access patients for usability testing. Successful implementation will lead to exploring a joint venture for scaling to other care episodes, expanded functionality, and co-creating business models for commercialization. Read Less

There have been numerous survey-based and observational studies reporting a high percentage of otolaryngologists suffering from work-related musculoskeletal symptoms, in which more than half attributed to poor ergonomics in the operating room. Interventions have been implemented in the past to alleviate ergonomic hazards in general surgery such as intra-operative stretch breaks. However, there has not yet been an intervention done to alleviate ergonomic hazards in otolaryngologists. Our study aims to explore the efficacy of implementing intraoperative stretch breaks and assess their effect on otolaryngologists' practices and musculoskeletal pain. Read Less
