This is a small, exploratory study that will investigate using an artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR), digital wellness application (app) to deliver a mental health support session in outpatient and hospitalized patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and co-existing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety or depression. The purpose of this study is to explore if a mental health support session using the app is feasible, safe, and acceptable to IBD patients and whether it could possibly help with physical and comorbid psychological symptoms of these patients. This study aims to address a critical gap in pediatric oncology survivorship care by exploring innovative solutions to addressing obesity and its comorbidities in pediatric cancer survivors. The majority (99%) of pediatric cancer survivors will develop severe chronic health conditions by age 50, with 96% developing at least one severe/disabling, life threating or fatal chronic health condition. Obesity, cardiovascular, and metabolic diseases are the most common treatment-related late effects among pediatric cancer survivors. Improving diet and reducing obesity has the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life and long-term health of pediatric cancer survivors. Utilization of a prebiotic fiber supplement along with TRE amy improve the gut microbiome, short-chain fatty acid synthesis, and hunger hormones to further improve weight loss with TRE and a greater decrease in cardiometabolic risk. The aims of this study are to test the safety, feasibility, and acceptability of 8-h TRE or 8-h TRE with a fiber supplement among young adult (YA) pediatric cancer survivors. The investigators further strive to examine the preliminary efficacy of TRE on body weight, body composition, glucose regulation, and cardiovascular risk markers. Data obtained will be used to inform a larger efficacy trial of TRE among adolescent and young adult pediatric cancer survivors. Given that a majority of pediatric cancer survivors will develop severe chronic health conditions by age 50, with 96% developing at least one severe/disabling, life threating or fatal chronic health condition exploring accessible nutritional strategies to improve long term health trajectory of 70,000+ AYA diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States. This study of TRE will provide important preliminary evidence of the benefits of this nutrition therapy for YA pediatric cancer survivors. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the United States however, little is known about how diet can affect cancer treatment. Pre-clinical murine studies report intermittent fasting increases effectiveness of chemotherapy and decreases treatment related adverse events. The proposed research will demonstrate that time restricted eating, a form of intermittent fasting, will improve treatment related outcomes, patient related outcomes, and limit treatment related weight gain and fat mass accretion.Time restricted eating combined with a mediterranean diet will also be feasible and improve cardiometabolic risk more than TRE alone or standard care. Patient will be treated with neratinib, an aromatase inhibitor and trastuzumab for 24 weeks prior to surgery, following an initial 3 weeks of neratinib alone, aromatase inhibitor alone or the combination of neratinib and an aromatase inhibitor. A breast biopsy will be performed prior to Day 1 of week 4 of treatment. Dime La VerDAD is an innovative social media capacity-building program that empowers promotores de salud to debunk vaccine misinformation through the use of personal narratives on social media. The core of the implementation strategy consists of augmenting training and self-efficacy for natural community champions, "promotores de salud" from the Hispanic community as trusted messengers to debunk vaccination misinformation. The study will leverage existing community relationships in Chicago and a first of its kind misinformation curriculum to debunk misinformation in communities served by participating promotores de salud. Dime La VerDAD (Verify, Debunk, and Disseminate) is an innovative social media capacity-building program based on theoretical frameworks related to health communication that empowers promotores de salud to debunk vaccine misinformation through the use of personal narratives on social media. This mixed methods study will use a rigorous stepped wedge design to 1) deliver a scalable program of science communicators using an adapted curriculum grounded in infodemiology, 2) evaluate how debunking misinformation is perceived on social media, and 3) discern how use of personal narratives to enhance science communication can lead to changes in opinions and behavior (vaccination rates) about COVID and influenza vaccines among Chicago's predominantly Hispanic communities. The purpose is to study a model of mental health navigation for African American and Latinx children (0-14 years) in high poverty urban communities focused on reducing key parental attitudinal barriers to care. Reducing persistent racial and ethnic disparities in children's mental health is a national priority and patient navigation is a highly promising approach that is rarely used in children's mental health services. The study will examine the effectiveness of paraprofessional (PP) navigators who have strong community knowledge and waitlist as usual condition (active wailt list \[AWL\]. The study will examine specific mechanisms of navigator effectiveness in children's mental health and compare an AWL to provide a rigorous test of the proposed mechanisms. The knowledge gained from this application may be important to reducing disparities and employing the workforce best suited to navigation in the community mental health system. Two community boards, one focused on identifying factors important to supporting navigators at the agencies (Implementation and Sustainability Community Board) will meet quarterly, and the other focused on implications for state and federal policy (Public Policy Board), will meet annually. The goal of this observational study is to learn about lung structure and function in a group of 1000 healthy people aged 25 to 35. The main questions it aims to answer are whether people's bodies, environment, and general lung health are associated with: * the structure of the participants lungs' airways, * the structure of blood vessels in the participants lungs and heart, and * the participants lungs' ability to exchange gases. Participants will take four different lung function tests to measure lung function, including: * air movement in the lungs (oscillometry) * lung size (slow vital capacity (SVC) and functional residual capacity (FRC) * gas transfer in the lungs (diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO). The study also aims to answer: • Is a single-dose of RABI-767 given by EUS-guided peripancreatic injection effective in treating patients with predicted severe acute pancreatitis. Study participants will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to receive a single dose of RABI-767 plus supportive care or supportive care only. This study is focused on males who have Hemophilia B and who need regular preventive treatment with factor IX protein (FIX) replacement therapy to prevent and also to control their bleeding events. The aim of the study is to gather at least 6 months of information on bleeding events for each individual participant while they continue to use their usual FIX replacement therapy. There is no experimental treatment being tested in this study. The study is informational, and part of a larger program to understand and treat Hemophilia B with a potential experimental new therapy in the future. There is no obligation to agree to taking part in this future study. The study is looking to answer several other research questions to help understand each participant's individual disease characteristics, including: * How often to use FIX replacement therapy, both on a regular basis (prophylaxis) and as needed to treat bleeding events * Measurement of FIX activity (factor IX is a clotting factor) by different laboratories using different types of tests in Hemophilia B participants * Possible complications from the FIX replacement therapy the patient receives (usual standard of care will continue to be used) * How quality of life is affected by Hemophilia B * How joint health is affected by Hemophilia B * How often the participant visits the emergency room, urgent care center, physician's office, hospital, or has a telemedicine visit as a result of bleeding events * Whether the body makes antibodies (a protein produced by the body's immune system) against the FIX replacement therapy you receive, which could make the drug less effective or could lead to side effects Read Less

The Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP) has collaborated with doctors from around the world to build the first International ROHHAD (Rapid-onset Obesity with Hypothalamic Dysfunction, Hypoventilation and Autonomic Dysregulation) REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) Registry. This registry is an international collaboration with ROHHAD patients and their physicians recruited from around the world. The purpose of this IRB-approved research study is to gain a better understanding of the various health problems ROHHAD patients face with advancing age, and how these relate to each patient's specific medical course. With a better understanding of specific ROHHAD and associated clinical manifestations, we will be able to better anticipate healthcare needs and to provide more accurate guidelines to healthcare providers world-wide in caring for patients with ROHHAD. The study aims to obtain detailed phenotypic information (information about health and well-being) on patients with ROHHAD. Participation would require filling out a confidential survey that asks questions regarding health and past medical history. Involvement in the project is completely voluntary and there is no compensation for taking part.
