This is a multicenter study that will be conducted at approximately 20 centers and up to 30 centers, if the sample size will be increased following interim assessment. The Q Therapeutic System (BQ 3.0) is a wearable medical device that produces and delivers non-invasive, extremely-low-intensity and low-frequency, frequency-tuned electromagnetic fields in order to stimulate neuronal networks with the aim of reducing disability and promoting neurorecovery. The Q Therapeutic System (BQ 3.0) is indicated for adjunctive use in a clinical facility or home setting, in addition to standard-of-care therapies. * In Stage 1 (starting 4-21 days after the index stroke event to day 90 post stroke), participants will be randomly assigned (1:1) to receive either active or the sham treatments, up to 5 times a week, and at least to a total of 45 treatments. * In Stage 2 (day 90 to day 180 post stroke), participants in both the active and the control group will be allowed to continue to receive active treatments, up to 5 times per week. * In stage 3 (day 180 to day 270 post stroke), participants will not receive any treatments and would be followed up until the final visit at day 270. Each session will last approximately 60 minutes, with stimulation activated for up to 40 minutes, in conjunction with a home-based exercise program. Treatments may be administered in the hospital, in the clinic or in a home setting. This is a double-blind randomised controlled trial (RCT) which compares the effectiveness of three surgical techniques for alleviating residual limb pain (RLP), neuroma pain and phantom limb pain (PLP). The three surgical treatments are Targeted Muscles Reinnervation (TMR), Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface (RPNI), and an active control (neuroma excision and muscle burying). The optimal strategy for pain management has not been defined. The goal of this project is to bring together staff and clinicians from Northwestern University/Northwestern Medical Group/Northwestern Memorial Hospital as well as patients and caregivers to assess and redesign the identification and management of hyperglycemia and diabetes during and in transitions of care. There will be 3 different groups for the study: a group of providers \[Group 1\], a group of patients/caregivers and laypersons \[Group 2\], and a stakeholder group \[Group 3\]. Urothelial cancers of the bladder and upper urinary tract account for over 200,000 deaths and 600,000 diagnoses annually worldwide. The most common presenting symptom is hematuria (blood in urine), triggering a cascade of tests, including an invasive examination of the bladder using a flexible scope (cystoscopy). Millions of cystoscopies are performed every year worldwide for patients presenting with hematuria, but only 10% result in a cancer diagnosis. The UROSCOUT-1 trial is a prospective multicenter observational study that explores the potential of urine tumor DNA (utDNA) testing to replace a significant portion of cystoscopies in the diagnostic setting for hematuria or other reasons to rule out urothelial cancer. The goal is to enhance patient quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and address increased workloads in urology centers. Sample collection will be conducted by mail, and the samples will be analyzed in a blinded manner, without knowledge of which patients are diagnosed with cancer. Random subsampling will be applied to cancer-negative patients to achieve an approximate 1:1 ratio between cancer-positive and -negative patients. Read Less

As tranexamic acid (TXA) becomes more prevalent, all patients are receiving the same dose and method of delivery regardless of their pre-operative risk of transfusion. Therefore, the aim of the study is to determine whether or not repeated dosing of oral or different method of delivery like intravenous (IV) TXA reduces the postoperative reduction in hemoglobin, hematocrit, number of transfusions, and postoperative blood loss following open spine surgery. The regimen that utilizes multiple doses of oral TXA will significantly minimize post-operative blood loss and transfusion requirements compared to the use of a single dose regimen. This study will be a prospective randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial of patients undergoing primary hip arthroscopy for FAIS and/or labral pathology.
