The research study is being done to see if ziltivekimab can be used to treat people who were admitted to hospital because of a heart attack. Ziltivekimab might reduce development of heart disease, thereby preventing new heart attacks or strokes. Participants will either get ziltivekimab (active medicine) or placebo (a dummy medicine which has no effect on the body). Which treatment participants get is decided by chance. The chance of getting ziltivekimab or placebo is the same. The participant will need to inject the study medicine into a flat skin surface in there stomach, thigh, or upper arm once every month. Ziltivekimab is not yet approved in any country or region in the world. It is a new medicine that doctors cannot prescribe. The study will last for about 2 years. Read Less

This phase III trial compares the effect of low dose tamoxifen to usual hormonal therapy, including aromatase inhibitors, in treating post-menopausal women with hormone positive, HER2 negative early stage breast cancer. Tamoxifen is in a class of medications known as antiestrogens. It blocks the activity of estrogen (a female hormone) in the breast. This may stop the growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow. Aromatase inhibitors, such as anastrozole, letrozole, and exemestane, prevent the formation of estradiol, a female hormone, by interfering with an aromatase enzyme. Aromatase inhibitors are used as a type of hormone therapy to treat postmenopausal women with hormone-dependent breast cancer. Giving low dose tamoxifen may be more effective compared to usual hormone therapy in treating post-menopausal women with hormone-positive, HER2 negative early stage breast cancer. Read Less

Mortality rates for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have risen in the US over the past two decades, disproportionately impacting Black patients with chronic liver disease5,6. Black patients are 50% less likely than White patients to receive curative therapies for HCC even when presenting with early stage disease7,8. Reasons for disparities in mortality are in part related to failure to progress through the complex HCC care continuum to access curative therapies as a result of the unequal distribution of social and structural determinants of health (SSDOH)9,10. SSDOH are the social conditions that influence individual and group differences in health11. For example, investigators found that Black patients with early stage HCC were more likely than White patients to have ongoing alcohol and substance and as a result were not candidates for liver transplantation (LT)7. In addition, data from our prospective cohort study demonstrated that Black patients with HCC have a higher burden of poor SSDOH that than their White counterparts, including higher rates of poverty, educational achievement less than high school and lapses in subspecialty care. The downstream consequences of these inequities including poor health-related knowledge and social needs are being increasingly targeted for improvement by hospital systems and providers in cancer care. However, there are currently no interventions designed to target social determinants or downstream social needs and eliminate racial disparities in HCC care. Successful health disparities interventions have been culturally tailored and multi-level12. Therefore, an intervention that successfully reduces disparities in HCC outcomes should have these characteristics and address both patient- and system-level SSDOH. The HCC Liver-Link intervention investigators propose to develop is designed to: a) improve patients' HCC-related disease and treatment knowledge; b) screen patients for social needs and substance use and refer to social work for linkage to local services; and c) use our multidisciplinary HCC tumor board to facilitate linkage to subspecialty HCC cancer care. Earlier portions of this research project were devoted to developing the education program component of the HCC Liver-Link intervention. This intervention, a full multi-level intervention designed to address patient- and system-level SSDOH variables and facilitate access to curative HCC therapies (liver transplantation and resection) in a cohort of Black patients with Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer prognosis stage 0, A and downstaged B disease underwent pilot testing in a previous project. The aims of this portion of the study are to estimate the effect of the HCC Liver-Link intervention on the time to receipt of curative therapies and HCC related knowledge in black patients with HCC. Toward that end, investigators will conduct a multi-center, pilot randomized controlled trial to test the multi-level intervention in 40 black BCLC 0, A or downstaged B disease patients who will be followed for 6 months or until waitlisted for liver transplant. The goal of this study is to obtain specimens and data from individuals and their families with heterotaxy and related congenital heart defects in order to clarify the molecular genetics of this disorder. The knowledge gained from the analysis of this information will provide the basis for future genetic counseling as well as contribute to knowledge about the biology of normal and abnormal development of left-right anatomic asymmetry. PREVENTABLE is a multi-center, randomized, parallel group, placebo-controlled superiority study. Participants will be randomized 1:1 to atorvastatin 40 mg or placebo. This large study conducted in community-dwelling older adults without cardiovascular disease (CVD) or dementia will demonstrate the benefit of statins for reducing the primary composite of death, dementia, and persistent disability and secondary composites including mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cardiovascular events. The purpose of the study is to determine how much a persons kidney function recovers after receiving a simultaneous liver kidney transplant. The investigators will be contacting patients with kidney dysfunction with estimated GFR between 25 and 40 (not on dialysis treatment) who are listed to receive a simultaneous liver kidney (SLK) transplant to look at this function recovery. The investigators hope to develop a criteria based on GFR measurement, kidney function calculations from native kidneys vs transplanted kidney and compare the contributions, and correlate with estimated GFR on basic metabolic panel (BMP: a blood test) to predict higher chances of recovery of native kidney function. The purpose of this study is to learn about the safety and effects of 2 study medicines (PF-07275315 and PF-07264660) for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD). AD is a long- lasting itchy red rash, caused by a skin reaction. This study is seeking participants who: * are 18 years of age or more. * Were confirmed to have AD at least 6 months ago. * Are not having an effective treatment result from medicines that are applied on skin for AD. * Are considered by their doctors to have moderate to severe AD. In Stage 1 of the study, participants will receive either PF-07275315 or PF-07264660 or placebo. Stage 1 is complete. In Stage 2 of the study participants will receive either PF-07275315 or placebo. In Stage 3 of the study participants who have received anti-inflammatory proteins, will receive either PF-07275315 or placebo. A placebo does not have any medicine in it but looks just like the medicines being studied. PF-07275315 or PF-07264660 or placebo will be given as multiple shots in the clinic over the course of 12 weeks. Stage 1 participants will receive shots at the study clinic on Day 1, Week 1, Week 2, Week 4, Week 6, Week 8, Week 10 and Week 12. Stage 2 participants will receive shots at the study clinic on Day 1, Week 4, Week 8 and Week 12. Stage 3 participants will receive shots at the study clinic on Day 1, Week 4, Week 8, Week 12, Week 16, Week 20, Week 24 and Week 28. The experiences of people receiving PF-07275315 or PF-07264660 will be compared to people who do not. This will help determine if PF-07275315 and PF-07264660 are safe and effective. Participants in Stage 1 and 2 will be involved in this study for up to 40 weeks (10 months). During this time, Stage 1 participants will have 13 visits at the study clinic, and Stage 2 participants will have 9 visits at the study clinic. The goal of this clinical study is to find out how the study drug, sacituzumab govitecan (SG) works in participants with endometrial cancer who have received prior treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy and immunotherapy, versus the treatment of physician's choice (TPC). The purpose of this study is to find out if investigators can stimulate the vagus nerve (a nerve in the body that runs from your brain to the large intestine), and influence insulin, C-peptide, and glucose levels. C-peptide is a substance that is created when insulin is produced and released into the body. The vagus nerve is a largely internal nerve that controls many bodily functions, including stomach function. Investigators hope that by stimulating the vagal nerve using the TeNS behind the ear, this stimulation can affect insulin levels, and this will help innovate treatment of patients with nausea, vomiting, and disordered stomach function, and patients with diabetes. Researchers hope to be able to measure the activity of the vagus nerve when it is stimulated in other ways. This could help investigators learn more about studying this nerve in the future. This is a randomized, open-label study in adult patients who have completed standard first line therapy for large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) and achieved a complete response or partial response suitable for observation, but who have minimal residual disease (MRD) as detected by the Foresight CLARITY™ Investigational Use Only (IUO) MRD test, powered by PhasED-Seq™. The purpose of the trial is to assess the efficacy and safety of consolidation with cemacabtagene ansegedleucel (cema-cel), an allogeneic CD19 CAR T product, as compared to standard of care observation. The study is conducted in 2 consecutive parts that will be enrolled continuously. In Part A of the study, participants with MRD are randomized to one of two treatment arms or an observation arm. Treatment includes cema-cel following a lymphodepletion regimen of fludarabine and cyclophosphamide administered with or without the anti-CD52 monoclonal antibody, ALLO-647. Part A will culminate with the selection of the lymphodepletion regimen to advance to Part B. Part B will evaluate the selected lymphodepletion regimen followed by cema-cel as compared with observation. Read Less
