Many patients with Crohn's disease develop fibrotic narrowing (strictures) in their bowel, causing obstructive symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramping, or vomiting after meals. Because of these symptoms, patients often require bowel resection surgery. The objective of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of AGMB-129 in patients with Crohn's disease and symptomatic strictures, and whether it can have a beneficial effect on intestinal strictures. The participants will be in the Part A for a duration of up to 19 weeks including a 5 week screening period, a 12-week double-blind, placebo-controlled treatment period, and 2 week safety follow up period. Participants who continue to Part B can receive treatment for up to an additional 48 weeks, with a safety follow-up visit 2 weeks after the last dose of treatment. Read Less

The primary objective of this study is to test the effect of a diet and exercise program in older adults with insulin resistance and a motivation disorder known as apathy. The main questions the study aims to answer are: 1. Does the diet and exercise program improve insulin resistance and apathy? 2. Does the addition of soybean to the diet enhance the effect? Participants will be given all meals for 12 weeks and will exercise under supervision. They will undergo a test of insulin sensitivity and complete questionnaires. Researchers will compare the groups given: 1. A diet to moderate the blood glucose response that contains soybean; and 2. A diet to moderate the blood glucose response that does not contain soybean. The goal of this randomized trial is to learn if the Stepping Stones (StSt) intervention has a positive impact on the sexual health and relationship behaviors of sexually active youth between the ages of 12 and 22 years old who are at risk for or involved in the legal or child welfare systems. The primary research questions it aims to answer are: * Three months after being offered the intervention, does StSt impact youth's receipt of sexually transmitted infection testing in the past four months? * Nine months after being offered the intervention, does StSt impact youth's frequency of having vaginal and anal sex without condoms in the past four months? * Nine months after being offered the intervention, does StSt impact youth's perpetration of emotional abuse in the past four months? Researchers will compare participants randomized to receive StSt (treatment group) to participants randomized to receive a control condition that contains no sexual or reproductive health information (control group). Participants randomized to the treatment group will be offered StSt as an-person, individual-based intervention delivered over four sessions during a 6-8 week period. ALTB-268-201 is a Phase 2a, multicenter, single arm, multiple-dose, open-label study evaluating the efficacy and safety of ALTB-268 in subjects with moderately to severely active UC. The study consists of a Screening Phase, an Induction Phase, and a Maintenance Phase. Eligible subjects will be enrolled to receive a SC loading dose of ALTB-268 followed by weekly doses of ALTB-268 for 12 weeks. Primary efficacy endpoint will be evaluated at week 12. Week 12 dosing will occur during the 40 wks Maintenance Phase. During 40 weeklong maintenance phase SC doses of ALTB-268 will be administered every other week. This study is a quasi-experimental design, specifically a non-randomized controlled trial (NCT) designed to test the effects of gun violence reduction intervention including MI for youth ages 16-24 years old who present to the Emergency Department or ICU Spirit of Charity Trauma Center (SCTC) at University Medical Centers or another area hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana following a gunshot injury or stab wound. The study will utilize an enrollment strategy that involves alternating, across recruitment days, the assigned study condition. Thus, Day 1 participants would be enrolled into TAU, Day 2 participants would be enrolled in MI-case management condition, Day 3 participants would be enrolled in TAU, etc. This proposed design will minimize any confounds associated with self-selection while possibly increasing enrollment rate. Research questions include: 1. Will youth allocated to the MI prevention condition have safer firearm related behaviors and beliefs compared to the TAU control condition at 6 months post- enrollment? 2. Will youth allocated to the MI prevention condition have reduced gun violence recidivism compared to the TAU control condition at 18 months post-enrollment. 3. How do youth's social and normative environments influence their gun behaviors and attitudes? Researchers will compare intervention and TAU arms to see if there are any differences in outcome measures. Participants will: 1. complete study eligibility assessment, be assigned to one of two conditions depending on the date of assessment, consent, and enroll in the Emergency Department (ED) or inpatient unit of hospital by a study team member, 2. participate in one of two conditions: MI administered by a licensed clinical social worker, or treatment as usual control group (TAU) administered by a study team member (n=170 per condition) 3. complete three surveys (baseline, 3-month, and 6-month) conducted by a study team member 4. 18-month post examination of participant hospital records 5. have the option to complete a 1-1.5 hour interview, 1-3 months after the 6-month survey is completed (n=50) Read Less
