Triptorelin for the Prevention of Ovarian Damage in Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effect of giving triptorelin vs no triptorelin in preventing ovarian damage in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer receiving chemotherapy with an alkylating agents. Alkylating agents are part of standard chemotherapy, but may cause damage to the ovaries. If the ovaries are not working well or completely shut down, then it will be difficult or impossible to get pregnant in the future. Triptorelin works by blocking certain hormones and causing the ovar... Read More

Studying the Effect of Levocarnitine in Protecting the Liver From Chemotherapy for Leukemia or Lymphoma
Recruiting
This phase III trial compares the effect of adding levocarnitine to standard chemotherapy versus (vs.) standard chemotherapy alone in protecting the liver in patients with leukemia or lymphoma. Asparaginase is part of the standard of care chemotherapy for the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), lymphoblastic lymphoma (LL), and mixed phenotype acute leukemia (MPAL). However, in adolescent and young adults (AYA) ages 15-39 years, liver toxicity from asparaginase is common and often pr... Read More

A Safety and Dose-finding Study of PRL-02 Depot in Men With Advanced Prostate Cancer
Recruiting
Medicines that reduce the amount of testosterone in the body are commonly used to treat prostate cancer. PRL-02 depot is a potential treatment for men with advanced prostate cancer. It is given by an injection into the muscle. Men with advanced prostate cancer can take part in this study. Their cancer has come back after previous cancer treatment, or the previous cancer treatment they had didn't work. The main aims of the study are: * to check the safety of PRL-02 depot given with and without... Read More

Enhancing Uptake of Preconception Care Services in Family Practice Clinics Using a Patient Centered Screening Tool
Recruiting
Sixteen years have passed since the Centers for Disease Control recommended routine preconception screening and counseling in primary care settings, yet time constraints and low preconception counseling adherence have prevented widespread uptake. This innovative, self-selected preconception screening tool encourages participants to be active in their own care and eliminates the time burden associated with typical pre-selected screening in clinics. This project will generate important knowledge a... Read More

Study of Plozasiran (ARO-APOC3) in Adults With Severe Hypertriglyceridemia
Recruiting
This Phase 3 study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of plozasiran injection (ARO-APOC3) in adult participants with severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG). After providing informed consent eligible participants will be randomized to receive 4 doses (once every 3 months) of plozasiran or placebo, and be evaluated for efficacy and safety. After month 12, eligible participants will be offered an opportunity to continue in an optional open-label extension under a separate protocol.

Assessment of Biomarker-Guided CNI Substitution In Kidney Transplantation
Recruiting
800 adult first time kidney transplant recipients will be enrolled in the Observational Study and followed to evaluate their Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)-DR/DQ molecular mismatch (mMM) score as a risk-stratifying prognostic biomarker. Six months after transplant the study will identify those who meet the eligibility criteria for the Nested Randomized Control Trial (RCT). 300 eligible subjects will be randomized 2:1 to abatacept or Standard of care (SOC) in the randomization and followed for 18... IMplementation of CAB+RPV LA for People With HIV in Non-Metropolitan Areas
Recruiting
The goal of this implementation science study is to learn about the experience of receiving and providing cabotegravir + rilpivirine long-acting (CAB+RPV LA) injections as treatment for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) for people who live a significant distance from an HIV provider. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is CAB+RPV LA feasible and acceptable to patients and staff? * What barriers and supports exist and have the most impact on receiving and providing CAB+RPV LA? * How doe... Leg Exercise Assistive Paddling (LEAP) Therapy for Peripheral Artery Disease
Recruiting
The purpose of this study is to test the effects of leg exercise assistive paddling (LEAP) therapy during prolonged sitting (PS) on vascular and functional performance in those with peripheral artery disease (PAD) and age-matched controls. LEAP therapy is a novel application of passive limb movement to enhance blood flow through the legs without muscular contractions. Specifically, LEAP therapy is the rotational passive movement of the lower leg about the knee from 90 to 180 degrees of rotation... Read More
