This study offers Hispanic women who are eligible for cervical cancer screening residing in the Cleveland metropolitan area one of two possible community outreach-based cervical cancer screening modalities, self-collection home HPV test or clinic-based pap test, which is the current standard of care, to assess if these strategies improve cervical cancer screening rates in this population group. This phase I/II trial studies the best dose and side effects of recombinant human EGF-rP64K/montanide ISA 51 vaccine (CIMAvax) and nivolumab and to see how well they work in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer or squamous head and neck cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Vaccine therapy, such as CIMAvax vaccine may help slow down and stop tumor growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving CIMAvax vaccine together with nivolumab or pembrolizumab may work better in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer or squamous head and neck cancer. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to learn whether an education and support program can help caregivers feel more confident in technical and communication skills needed to care for a person with cancer. Patients with cancer and their caregivers face many challenges. These include learning about cancer and its treatment, coping with symptoms from illness and treatment side effects, making adjustments to usual activities, and managing the emotional effects of having a serious illness. This study is testing whether different forms of education and support can help caregivers feel better prepared. To find out if education about caregiving and different kinds of support are effective, study personnel will compare approaches to help find ways to improve the services that are provided to caregivers during cancer treatment. About 180 patients and their caregivers at the Seidman Cancer Center will take part in this study. Participating in research is voluntary and this study is funded by the National Institute of Health. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images are routinely used in radiation treatment delivery workflows to align patients with the treatment beam. Conventional CBCT image quality is sufficient for this task but not good enough for other radiotherapy-related tasks, such as contouring anatomical structures and calculating radiation dose distributions. HyperSight is a new CBCT imaging system manufactured by Varian Medical Systems. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the integration of the HyperSight imaging system with Varian's TrueBeam radiotherapy system, a linear accelerator with a C-arm gantry that rotates about the patient to delivery radiation to the target malignancy. HyperSight CBCT images will be acquired prospectively from patients who are receiving radiation treatment. The HyperSight/TrueBeam system will be used for imaging only; patients receive their radiation treatment on cleared devices and no aspect of their treatment is affected by participation in the study. HyperSight images collected during the study will be evaluated for quality and utility and compared to conventional CBCT images as well as fan beam CT images used for treatment planning. Read Less

This screening and multi-sub-study randomized phase II/III trial will establish a method for genomic screening of similar large cancer populations followed by assigning and accruing simultaneously to a multi-sub-study hybrid Master Protocol (Lung-MAP). The type of cancer trait (biomarker) will determine to which sub-study, within this protocol, a participant will be assigned to compare new targeted cancer therapy, designed to block the growth and spread of cancer, or combinations to standard of care therapy with the ultimate goal of being able to approve new targeted therapies in this setting. This is a prospective, multi-center, randomized non-inferiority phase III study to evaluate if patients undergoing a minimally invasive surgery for early stage uterine cancer have cancer cells in the fluid that is obtained at the time of their surgery when a uterine manipulator is placed versus patients who do not have a uterine manipulator placed. This phase II trial studies the effect of sacituzumab govitecan in treating patients with HER2-negative breast cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases). Sacituzumab govitecan is a monoclonal antibody, called sacituzumab, linked to a chemotherapy drug, called govitecan. Sacituzumab is a form of targeted therapy because it attaches to specific molecules on the surface of cancer cells, known as Trop-2 receptors, and delivers govitecan to kill them. Giving sacituzumab govitecan may shrink the cancer in the brain and/or extend the time until the cancer gets worse. Read Less
