The number of elderly head-and-neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) patients is increasing; however, the evidence regarding the ideal treatment for this often vulnerable and frail patient cohort is limited. Although the benefit of concomitant chemotherapy has been reported to decrease in elderly HNSCC patients based on the MACH-NC meta-analysis, it remains unknown whether state-of-the art radiotherapy techniques such as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), modern supportive treatments and alternative chemotherapy fractionation (e.g., cisplatin weekly) may have altered this observation. The objective of this retrospective multinational multicenter study is to determine the oncological outcomes of elderly patients (≥65 years) with locally advanced HNSCCs undergoing definitive (chemo-)radiation and to investigate the influence of concomitant chemotherapy on overall survival and progression-free survival after adjusting for potential confounder variables such as age, performance status and comorbidity burden. About 25-50% of women who undergo breast cancer surgery develop persistent chest wall pain and shoulder mobility limitations following surgery. The pain and mobility limitations adversely affect quality of life, sleep, and body image. Unfortunately, current treatments for pain and mobility limitations have variable efficacy. Based on a review of relevant pre-, intra-, and post-operative factors, investigators reasoned that myofascial massage may address contributors to pain and mobility limitations following breast cancer surgery. Investigators propose a randomized controlled trial looking at myofascial massage compared to a light touch group to look at the effects on pain and immobility following breast cancer surgery. This phase II trial studies how well radiation therapy with or without cisplatin works in treating patients with stage III-IVA squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck who have undergone surgery. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known if radiation therapy is more effective with or without cisplatin in treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck. Read Less

This phase II trial studies how well lower-dose chemotherapy plus radiation (chemoradiation) therapy works in comparison to standard-dose chemoradiation in treating patients with early-stage anal cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as mitomycin, fluorouracil, and capecitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving chemotherapy with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. This study may help doctors find out if lower-dose chemoradiation is as effective and has fewer side effects than standard-dose chemoradiation, which is the usual approach for treatment of this cancer type. This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and an ALK fusion mutation. Read Less

Reduction of dose to or 'sparing' of neurovascular structures during stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SAbR) for localized prostate cancer will improve retention of sexual potency, while retaining excellent oncologic control and other secondary health-related quality of life (HRQOL) endpoints. Primary Objectives: • To compare the decline in patient health-related quality of life (HRQOL) instrument-defined erectile dysfunction following stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SAbR) with or without neurovascular sparing Secondary Objectives: Assess acute (within 3 months of treatment) and chronic (>3 months after treatment) SAbR related GU and GI toxicities, as well as serial impact on HRQOL metrics over time Assess biochemical progression free survival, local recurrence, distant recurrence, and survival Evaluate simplified 'practical' secondary HRQOL sexual potency endpoints that can be compared to prior literature. Exploratory Objectives: Evaluate feasibility of MRI BOLD/TOLD to be integrated as hypoxia monitoring sequences to standard already planned diagnostic and/or treatment planning MRI on the study in five patient pilot. Evaluate quality of spacer placement and its effect on dose to neurovascular structures Evaluate rate local recurrence in the area of sparing adjacent to the neurovascular elements by biopsy in those with biochemical progression. This phase II clinical trial studies how well fulvestrant and palbociclib works in treating older patients with breast cancer that responds to hormone treatment (hormone responsive) that cannot be removed by surgery. Estrogen can cause the growth of estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using fulvestrant may fight estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer by blocking the use of estrogen by the tumor cells. Palbociclib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving fulvestrant together with palbociclib may be an effective treatment for hormone responsive breast cancer. Read Less

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a radioactive diagnostic study drug, which is called Gallium-68 Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen ([Ga-68]PSMA) for detection of bone metastasis in patients with prostate cancer. For imaging the investigators will use a FDA approved imaging technology, digital Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT). The investigators would like to know if digital PET/CT using [Ga-68]PSMA provides accurate information about the extent of bone metastases. Therefore, the investigators will compare[Ga-68]PSMA PET/CT with Flourine-18 [F-18] Sodium Fluoride (NaF), which is a high resolution bone scan. [F-18]NaF is FDA approved and the reference standard for evaluating the presence of bone metastases.[Ga-68]PSMA is an investigational (experimental) drug that works by binding to Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen, which is overexpressed in prostate cancer. [Ga-68]PSMA is experimental because it is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at University Hospitals. However, FDA approval has been obtained for this study protocol by an Investigational New Drug (IND) application. Read Less

This phase II trial studies the side effects of intraoperative electron beam radiotherapy boost and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage I-II breast cancer undergoing surgery with reconstruction.
