The purpose of this study is to evaluate, subjectively and objectively, whether playing music during procedures for treatment of chronic lower back pain has an effect on patients' anxiety and pain. The investigators hypothesize that playing music will result in reduced patient reported anxiety and pain scores and less variation from baseline of vital signs versus patients in the control group without music therapy. The objectives of this study are to confirm the safety, performance, and clinical benefits of Zimmer Biomet Shoulder Arthroplasty Systems and its instrumentation in primary or revision shoulder arthroplasty. These objectives will be assessed using standard scoring systems, radiographic evidence, and adverse event records. The NSS-2 BRIDGE® device (NSS stands for Neuro-Stimulation System) is a disposable device that stimulates the branches of cranial nerves and of the superficial cervical plexus innervating the ear. Because the stimulation of the nerves of the ear by the NSS-2 BRIDGE® device (NBD®) has been shown to modulate pain pathways in rodents, decrease abdominal pain in adolescents with inflammatory bile syndrome and due to the results of our preliminary pilot study, the investigators hypothesized that this technique may also be effective in reducing the requirement for postoperative opioids and provide a non-pharmacological alternative to perioperative opioid use. To establish the role that the stimulation of the nerves of the ear may have in reducing postoperative opioid requirement, the investigators are proposing to conduct a randomized, placebo controlled study in patients undergoing open abdominal or pelvic surgery requiring at least 5 days of hospitalization. Subjects who have signed an informed consent will be randomized in 2 groups (active NBD® group or inactive NBD® group). Furthermore, since preoperative and postoperative mood disorders have been shown to increase postoperative pain levels and opioid requirement by up to 50%, the investigators further hypothesize that the stimulation of the ear nerves by the NSS-2 BRIDGE® effects may be in part mediated by a reduction of the level of anxiety, depression and catastrophizing as assessed using validated questionnaires. Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS) is a chronic and debilitating urological complex of disorders characterized by symptoms of bladder pain or discomfort, mostly upon bladder filling, and often accompanied by lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). This study will assess how safe and effective BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA) is in treating IC/BPS. Adverse events and change in disease symptoms will be evaluated. BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS). Study doctors randomly assign the participants to 1 of 2 groups, called treatment arms, to receive BOTOX or placebo. There is a 1 in 2 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Approximately 80 female participants, aged 18 to 75 years, with a diagnosis of IC/BPS will be enrolled in approximately 40 sites in the United States and Canada. Participants will receive BOTOX or placebo injected into the bladder on Day 1 and will be followed for at least 12 weeks in treatment 1. Eligible participants may request additional dose of BOTOX between Weeks 12 and 24, and will be followed for 12 weeks in treatment period 2. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The purpose of the current exploratory clinical trial is to determine the effect of oral ingestion of metformin (OIM) in non-diabetic patients with chronic Achilles tendon pain. The trial has two aims; 1) to assess the effects of OIM treatment on tendon pain, and 2) to determine the effects of OIM capsules on tendon healing and repair. Twenty participants will be treated with metformin capsules for 16 weeks combined with a home exercise program. After amputation of an arm or leg, up to 90% of subjects experience a "phantom limb", a phenomenon characterized by persistent feelings of the missing limb. Many subjects with a phantom limb experience intense pain in the missing extremity that is often poorly responsive to medications or other interventions. The proposed work will contrast the efficacy of two virtual reality treatments for phantom limb pain: a 'Distractor' and an Active VR treatment. In the Distractor treatment, participants are engaged in a visually immersive virtual reality experience that does not require leg movements (REAL i-Series® immersive VR experience). The purpose of this study is to develop an exercise treatment program for knee osteoarthritis that works well for people with memory problems. This study will include two parts. Participants can choose to participate in either or both parts. In Part 1 - The investigators are inviting the following people to participate in an interview: Individuals aged 60 years or older who do not live in a nursing home and have both memory issues and knee pain. Care partners of people with knee pain and memory issues. A care partner can be a family member or friend who helps regularly. Clinicians (exercise physiologists or rehabilitation therapists like physical and occupational therapists) who have worked with older adults with memory issues and knee pain. The goal of these interviews is to learn from the experiences of people with memory issues and knee pain and those who care for them. From these interviews, the investigators hope to design a non-drug, tailored physical activity program that will be interesting and helpful in managing knee pain for older adults with memory problems. For people with memory problems and knee pain and their care partners: The investigators will ask some questions to determine eligibility to participate in the study. Those who qualify for the study will be invited to participate in an interview that could be completed online or in person (Philadelphia, PA). The interview could last up to 90 minutes (1 and a half hours) and can be completed as one or multiple sessions. For clinicians: Participants will engage in a 90-minute focus group with other clinicians where lunch will be served if in person. Those participating in an online focus group will receive a gift card equal to the value of lunch. In Part 2 - The program developed in Part 1 will be tested.
