Biologic Abatement and Capturing Kids' Outcomes and Flare Frequency in Juvenile Spondyloarthritis
Recruiting
This randomized pragmatic trial will generate knowledge about strategies used to de-escalate tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) therapy in patients with juvenile spondyloarthritis with sustained inactive disease and are treated at one of the 29 participating pediatric healthcare systems. This open label study will be conducted in the setting of routine clinical care and will compare the risk and timing of flare (Aim 1) and patients' lived experiences (Aim 2) across three arms.

Sequential and Comparative Evaluation of Pain Treatment Effectiveness Response
Recruiting
VETERANS ONLY. Chronic low back pain (cLBP) is common. Most Americans will have at least one episode of low back pain in their lifetimes. Approximately 50% of all US Veterans have chronic pain, and CLBP is the most common type of pain in this population. This study will use a sequential randomized, pragmatic, 2-step comparative effectiveness study design. The main goal is to identify the best approach for treating cLBP using commonly recommended non-surgical and non-pharmacological options. The... Read More

Anticoagulation in ICH Survivors for Stroke Prevention and Recovery
Recruiting
Primary Aim: To determine if apixaban is superior to aspirin for prevention of the composite outcome of any stroke (hemorrhagic or ischemic) or death from any cause in patients with recent ICH and atrial fibrillation (AF). Secondary Aim: To determine if apixaban, compared with aspirin, results in better functional outcomes as measured by the modified Rankin Scale.

Sit Less, Interact and Move More (SLIMM) 2 Study
Recruiting
Prolonged sitting (sedentary behavior) is a risk factor for decreased kidney function, obesity, diabetes and mortality. Prolonged sitting is associated with decreased kidney function and increased risk of diabetes, heart disease and death. In a previous pilot study funded by NIH, it was shown that a Sit Less, Interact and Move More (SLIMM) intervention targeting sedentary behavior in people with kidney disease was able to decrease prolonged sitting but that effect was not sustained. Therefore, t... Read More
